We went to Sonny's because it was their anniversary month, 56 years of BBQ. They had a special running on Wednesday 's for the month of May. Their food is really good. Service is not that great. Our server looked like she wanted to be somewhere else.. The special was ten dollars for 3 rib bones and some pulled pork. This was their 4th week doing this Special on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the owner decided to only make so many ribs, I guess he thought he was going to lose money on the deal. They ran out of ribs at 7pm. How does this happen at a rib restaurant? I worked as a manager of a national bbq chain. We did food counts 3 times a day: When we arrived, after lunch and end of day. You only run out if you are poorly managed. Since they had 4 other Wednesdays to know how buzy they would be, there is no excuse. The management didn't offer a substitute either. We waited 20 minutes for a table. Why? Cause the host was the busser to. On a buzy night like this? Poor kid. When we we are seated they tell us they were out of the item we came for. No manager was present. I was totally disappointed, I was thinking about it all day, because they sent me an email about the special. Needless to say waiting 20 minutes for a table, service was bad: no silverware, till i was done eating, food cold. I wrote a letter to Sonny's corp. Almost 2 weeks ago, no response. They don't care. That is a shame. I will not be going back to that one, that is for sure. Id advise you to go to another one.
UPDATE: I think Sonnys only responses so you think they care. I did as they said, contacted them through email. No one responded. So this is the second time I contacted them about a bad experience and they just ignore me. What kind of customer...
Read moreI asked for broccoli as my side and I asked to have parmesan cheese shredded on it. The waitress responded that she would have to check to see if that can be happen. She came back from the kitchen and stated they only have cheddar cheese for the broccoli the parmesan cheese is only for Caesar salad. I asked if I can please have the parmesan cheese I do not want the cheddar cheese. I added that I would even pay extra. The waitress left and the manager comes back. The manager tells me that she only has cheddar cheese from my broccoli now my broccoli has been sitting at the table all this time while we're speaking over it during this Corona time and she tells me I can't have the parmesan cheese because the parmesan cheese is for the Caesar salads. I said I want Parmesan cheese for my broccoli that's how I like it it has less calories I just want to sprinkle of it not much. She told me it'd be a three dollar up charge the little attitude. I said fine I'll take it I just want a little bit no big deal and she walked away a little Huff. She came back with a side dish piled high of Parmesan cheese like that's how much they really put in a Caesar salad I don't think so. I sprinkle a little bit on my broccoli. And she walks past and goes to another table and talks to them for a bit. how much it comes back by and ask do you want me to warm that up in the microwave so your cheese melts. I'm like yes please it's cold now. So she leaves and by now the rest of my meal is already done. She returns like 5 minutes later with my broccoli ridiculous. I'm very dissatisfied with this entire trip I kind of lost my appetite with this whole endeavor when I said my rest of my meal was complete I asked for a box and I...
Read moreFood is usually great, but the customer service has been awful. Really disappointed with our last 2 takeout experiences. As new parents, we wanted a to pick up something quick and delicious to bring home, so that we could put our little one to sleep and enjoy. We chose Sonny’s based on past experience, but WE CHOSE WRONG. When we got home with our order, we noticed no BQQ sauces had been included at all; it was just dry meat. This had happened once before, but I didn’t call attention to it because I understand that mistakes happen to all of us. Since this was the second time this happened, we called the restaurant. They took our name and order number and said someone would reach out to us the next day. 3 days went by and no phone call. We reached back out, and they couldn’t find any record of us calling and told us they would call us back again. At this point, my husband decides to call the main customer service line and explains what happened. They told us that as a standard response, they typically refund one meal, but since all of our meals did not come as ordered, they assured us that they would look into it and take care of it. After a week of being run around, we only received a refund on one of the ruined meals. When you spend hard-earned money on a meal outside of your home., you expect to get what you’re paying for . The lack of communication and low level of customer service really shocked us; it’s a shame how customers are treated here when there are...
