Dinner for 5, July 15th, 4:30pm
Least Mexican-looking restaurant ever, outside and even more so inside. Feels like a family diner with a dozen Mexican plant pots scattered about.
No bar. Not sure I’ve ever been to a Mexican restaurant with no bar. There are a few shelves sitting on a counter with exactly 14 bottles of booze with plenty of space between them - obviously under-stocked even their tiny shelves. No Midori for the melon margarita on their menu. Waiter then brought wrong margarita (lime vs. strawberry), then brought the right margarita, in a water glass?? Drink tasted more like a melting popsicle than a margarita - couldn’t finish it.
Dirty carpet, no music playing, fraying carpet and sloppy paint in some areas. All plates are plain white.
Nachos are decent. Guacamole is a bit hot, but has no tomato or cilantro or onion or lime flavors. Just mashed avocado.
Dinner: salty overall. Undercooked onions inside burrito. Lettuce is coarsely chopped not shredded, so it soaks through and is wilty. I could get through about 1/2 the plate.
A waiter spilled some taco contents on the floor - two waiters and a guy in a polo shirt (who noticed the mess on the carpet) walked through it. It stayed there for easily 15 mins.
Not sure who rated this place with 5 stars, but I assume they either have very low standards or they’re friends with ownership. I wonder what the next restaurant to try this...
Read moreZero stars if it were an option. Was happy to have them in town . Until tonight. They close at 10pm, called at 9:25 to make sure they were so serving and were told "yes" but they are out of rice. Really? Good thing I don't like rice. Told them we'd be there in 10 minutes, walk in at 9:48pm to see all of the employees sitting at the bar, only to be told they're not serving food anymore Really?? Then the owner says "sit down and have a drink" Um no thank you. We're heading to Casa Tequila now. They're open until their posted hours. And they have rice. And the employees aren't all sitting around drinking. Oh! And they're not condescending, rude dickholes. Never coming back. Ever. Even if there's a fire. Sorry kids. Be careful how many times you burn Benders. Casa Tequila is so much better and reliable.
Oh... Adding on now. The first time we stopped a couple of weeks ago, they were closed (supposed to be open) but were told they had to run out for 'stuff'. If you're not ready to run a real restaurant, don't rush the grand opening. Went back later, ordered the seafood fajitas - menu said it came with Mahi - no Mahi. Waitress was clueless, ordered a second margarita (supposed to be sauza hornitos Tequila like the first) came with rail Tequila (was charged for sauza hornitos).
Again... Never. Going. Back... Go to the authentic Mexican grocery store or...
Read moreGreat place just wish the waiters and waitresses were a little bit more attentive I spent about 20 minutes waiting on somebody to come and check on me the first time I went it took a while for them to even come get my order. Second time I went with my parents and the waitress completely avoided eye contact and answers to questions where mumbled barely was able to hear the woman food was the bomb though wish I could've lent my help in customer support. That's the only bad part about the restaurant but everything I mean everything else was perfect. I leave tips based on the service I receive and the first time I went alone I only tipped 5 to be nice cause I usually tip big to good waiters and waitresses. The send time my parents flipped the bill out was 100 bucks so my parents tipped 15 even though the second time the waitress was way worse. She at times was no where to be found and the male waiters twice had to track her down and service...
