Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in West Chester Township

So disappointed in the service here.

I never make bad reviews because honestly I find most places of employment are reasonable with customers. My son and I came here after a field trip with his school to enjoy a smoothie and a sandwich. My son ordered a Mocha Madness and wanted to remove the coffee, he's 8 seems reasonable for him not to have coffee. The gentleman who made the drink was kind! My son took one sip and didn't like it. Mind you we are sitting here and the drink is completely full minus one sip. I go back to the register and ask to switch it to a can of pop, the lady looks at me and I think maybe we are miscommunicating. Then she puts her hand up and sighs, signaling for me to stop. She then walks to the back and comes back and said that's your fault to not get coffee in it and I will not switch it. I'm standing in disbelief because honestly you saw him take one sip and you can feel the drink is full and he's 8 so I'm wondering who's fault she's referring to.... It just really surprised me the lack of concern for being accommodating after I spent money on food and drink in this establishment. It seemed more appropriate for her to kindly say something rather than the sigh and slightly rude undertone in her lecture about making a bad decision.

Very disappointed in the service of the lady who was in charge. The gentlemen who made the smoothie even looked surprised. The assigning of blame to a child trying to order a smoothie is beyond me. I'll never eat here or spend money here again! We are new to area and would have been...

Always love their smoothies. But don't take coupons from the newspaper here. They say you can Scan it to the app to use the coupon no you can't and you can't type it in either there's no qr code on the coupon to scan. And the scan on app doesn't scan the barcode either. no where on the advertisement with the coupons say to put in the app they all say order/use at location. I think they just didn't want to use the coupons the Sunday paper gave out. 🤔 I went to the other location they used it just fine without the app cause there literally is no where on the app to put the coupon. And when I asked where do u put it In he just said so can I charge the card without the coupon wasnt interested in helping nothing or showing where in the app u put it in Lol just wanted to get rid of me which i left the smoothie and other location on my way to my hike helped me out great. I'll go to the other locations, I asked them how to use it on the app and they said you can't put it in the app and they used it manually on the register. I rarely use coupons but thought it was cool they sent out those so first time but never again even without the coupon will I go here unless I have to cause even on a day I went In there without a coupon he looked so bored to be there and I ordered a combo didn't even give me my choice of side just handed Me chips which at first he wasn't even going to give me i had to remind him what it came with, but u choose out of 3 sides with the combo but I guess he decided I wanted...

Based on the reviews, I'd say this place has taken a turn for the worst. Was going to go through the drive thru, but apparently, the speaker 🔊 isn't working right, and they couldn't hear me.

So I just told them I'll come inside because they couldn't hear me.. I walk in, I'm not greeted, everyone just staring at me.. off the bat, I'm kinda weirded out by that.

While placing my order, they weren't reluctant to hassle me over wanting to add more OJ than water..

While I'm waiting at one of the seats at the counter for my smoothie, this lady deliberately tilted the blender cup full of ingredients,

(this being the person's order who came in after me) towards me to get me and my phone screen wet while pumping the water or smoothie base? for the smoothie.

"That felt great." I told her as I wiped off my phone screen and forearms, "It is hot out today." I thought to myself.

At this point, I was already feeling pretty disrespected..

All of this while waiting for my purchase, already made, to be waiting at the other end of the counter.

What should've been a simple and quick exchange turned into me wondering if I should even drink this or not.. my stomach is starting to hurt.
