This is my all time favorite place to get sushi. I go here way more often than I would care to admit, it is THAT good and reasonably priced!
ATMOSPHERE: Don't let the outside fool you, the inside of this restaurant is very nice and well put together (they redecorate a little daily between lunch and dinner). It is always very clean and inviting.
MENU: Their more basic rolls are very cheap, so low cost dining is definitely an option, but there more intricate rolls and dishes are a bit more expensive (but completely worth it). They also have a "sushi burrito" which I have not actually tried yet, as well as other non-sushi items.
STAFF: The staff here is incredible! They provide excellent service and they are very friendly. They also go above and beyond to help cater to my friend and I when we bring her very young son.
INCLUDED PICTURE: Sweet Potato Roll (top center), California Roll (left), Crunchy Dragon Roll (right, my absolute favorite), Cream Cheese Crab Roll...
Read moreFirst visit - I’ll breakdown my review Food vs. Atmosphere… but first - I must commend the one and only server working the dinner crowd. She handled 9 tables plus folks coming in to pickup takeout and was fantastic. Sign on window states “Now hiring”… Food: Started with edamame and their Sushi Bomb as appetizers. Both hit the spot. Added a few pieces of Nigiri (Yellow Tail, Crab, Tuna) and the signature Crunchy Dragon Roll. Presentation and quality were great, albeit a bit pricey. Atmosphere: Walked in to two tv’s blaring American Idol at top volume. Compound that with loud / rambunctious children - and I was just about ready to as the server to pack up my dinner to take back to the hotel. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing place to enjoy your sushi - this is NOT that place. Unfortunate to say the least. Food and service were exceptional - however the atmosphere drains the overall rating...
Read moreWe love sushi and have tried as many places as possible in the Cincinnati area. This was our favorite place until today. The service and atmosphere was completely changed. There was focus on the sushi burrito, which is great to offer, however, the lunch menu was GREATLY reduced. Many of the items that kept us coming back were not offered. The sushi we ordered was good, but arrived in a plastic boat with parchment paper making it difficult to eat. Zero points for presentation. The staff are always pleasant and friendly, but they have taken service out of the experience. We had to order at the counter and retrieve our own chopsticks and bowls for soy sauce. There were no refills and it's now required to clean your own table like a fast food place. So disappointing to have our favorite sushi place go from a nice little restaurant to what felt like a cafeteria. The "made with love" motto was not...
