Eagerly order Papaya salad and cup of Tom yan soup. Waiter came back to say they did not have the Papaya salad. So I said ok. Just the soup then. Two of my work colleagues heard this also. Got this large bowl obviously soup after he brought a bowl of soup which was brought to me but then went to another table saying it was a level 3. Very disappointed with the watery soup with few shrimp and tomatos. Large amount of mushroom floating on top. I ate few spoonful and asked for to go container since I thought I could fix it up at home. Went to pay our check and was told I owed $18 for this soup. I told the woman at the cash register I was not paying that amount. It turned out the Waiter thought since I didn't have the salad, I would want the larger soup which turned out to be their "hot pot". Then the cashier bargained with me to divide the cost 50/50. I again insisted no as I ordered a $5.5 soup. The cashier then proceeded to snatched the container of soup out of my hand and slammed it onto the counter and said then $5.50. Then quickly said No. It's 6.99 and with tax 7.4?. I just paid to get out of there. NEVER HAS THERE BEEN A PLACE SO RUDE WHEN IT WAS THEIR WORKER THAT CAUSED THE MISTAKE. THEN TO CHARGE MORE. TASTE WAS ONLY MEDIOCRE, SO INSULT TO THE INJURY. ALL THREE OF US WILL...
Read moreWe had a party of five, one of which is vegetarian, looking forward to a great lunch at Thai Koon Kitchen.
The vegetarian entree arrived with items that should not have been on it. When my vegetarian friend asked to remove the item that was first noticed, he was told there were only two and to remove them himself. Finally, the individual serving us took a used fork from another individual and started removing the items. We mentioned the fork was used, so they took the plate back and removed the items. They did not remake the entree. When it was brought back, we noticed another item that should not have been on it.
At that point, one of us started to approach who we believed to be the owner. As he approached, the owner told him they were not remaking the entree. Since it was now contaminated by someone’s used fork and items inappropriate for a vegetarian, we stated unless it was fixed we would not pay. At that point, we were told to leave.
This experience was not customer focused, and we provided many opportunities for them to resolve the situation. They have lost our business, and it is disappointing it occurred because of their refusal to correct...
Read moreOverall not impressed. I went here this afternoon after reading some reviews of “best Thai in Cincinnati”. I disagree, lol. I’m a travel nurse with hometown of Detroit (best food from all ethnicities anywhere!!! I said what I said!!) and I’ve been cross country in the past 2 years. This place is sub par at best. I got the basil stir fry. The onions in my dish were old and tough like the dried outer layer of an onion that needs to be peeled. The sauce ended up being a sweet “soup or broth” after a 10 min ride home. I asked for the dish to be made with shrimp and I’d pay extra for chicken. They opted for the cheaper out and gave me all chicken with 4 shrimp for the extra $2 I paid. I was willing to pay extra for the shrimp AND the chicken but maybe it was just a misunderstanding?? I counted 2-3 small pieces of basil which is something I really look for in this dish. The flavor was meh…a bit too sweet for me and no heat, even though I requested a level 2 spice. Don’t get me wrong, it’s edible but not a place I’d return to. I also paid $6.50 for 2 egg rolls. I’ve had better $1.25 egg rolls at many Chinese restaurants. The steamed rice was...
