Benny's Pizzeria — Restaurant in West Chester

It started off by looking at the " bennys" website, not urbanspoon or another 3rd party ordering site, it said they offered a pizza and wing special for $17.75. So I called, twice since the first time no one picked up, and got Sal. I had mentioned this special that again is on their website and he proceeded to say, thats not available on Friday! ?!?. That wasnt stated anywhere on the special or website. So he finally "agreed" and said he would honor it. I walked in 20 mins later to pick up my food and the girl asked Sal to come up and take care of this special order. That when he said I had to provide him with a printed out coupon. Yet he didnt even mention that on the phone, nor did he even agree with the special In the first place. Needless to say, I turned around and left, without my food since he couldnt honor the special. Quoting him, "I need to show the owner why it was so cheap for my order"...

We ordered a medium plain pizza at 6:20 pm after getting my son's hair cut. 40 minutes later, we are still waiting for the small plain pizza. I watched people come in and out, order pizza from the lovely cashier (who was very embarrassed about the debacle and walk out with entire pies. We watched a family of four come and and get their slices in record time.

When I asked the owner if he thought this was acceptable, he muttered what was normal. "Other people had ordered on the phone."

Not true I said, I watched people order and get their pizzas AFTER we sat down. I asked for my money back after 40 minutes of waiting. Time I will never get back.

I will go to New Haven's, Brother's or any other establishment before I go to Benny's again. I will also tell all of my friends. (I grew up in WC).

Lifelong customer, GREAT food! I make special trips to get the Strombolis, it's a treat and was becoming a tradition. Had surgery today (fasting since last night!), the first thing I wanted was a HAM&CHEESE stromboli...placed the order...didn't specify the kind of cheese(was never asked, but again tradition...it's all I ever order)...the result... Customer satisfaction NOT GUARANTEED!!! I was made to purchase something we could not eat...they refused to make it the way we wanted it.😔 Needless to say... I'll never make a special trip to give my money to a pizzeria who doesn't value life long customers. Any referrals...
