I was disappointed to say the least. I typically go into town to grab coffee and do school work. Today, I decided to get coffee across the street from Turks Head and then do work in Turks Head. In order to keep the business alive in town (bc I genuinely love the cafe), I decided to grab food there. The food and the coffee I just purchased were around the same price, but when I began walking up the stairs I was rudely interrupted by the staff. They mentioned we had to buy coffee specially in order to sit upstairs. Normally, I would understand as I’ve brought outside coffee into the establishment, but the way the staff handled it was extremely rude. My friend and I made it obvious through conversation between us and the staff that we were there to do work, but no one mentioned until after we had purchased our food that we had to purchase coffee. As silly as it is, we would have purchased the coffee since the food and coffee are similar prices. The staff made passive aggressive comments and overall made it obvious we were not welcomed into the establishment because instead of spending 5 dollars on a coffee, I spent 5...

I had a bad experience here. So bad that it’s hard to talk about. One of the Barrista’s handed me regular iced coffees on two occasions that tasted so bad I thought she’d tampered with them. I had another staff member taste it and she said it was undrinkable and threw it away. The Manager tasted the rest of the batch and it was totally fine. I asked an owner to investigate and it took days to get back to me to say he’s reviewed the situation and there was no foul play. I literally thought it was dishrag water. The owner and manager did say they would go over the cleaning rules with the staff again but there were no sincere apologies nor, in my opinion, a sincere look into the situation. They had no concern for me or for my daily business since the day they opened. I was their biggest supporter and I tried in every way I could to handle this situation quietly and with respect. No respect was returned.

Edit: Their response is slander and defamation of my character. I have only said the truth of my experience and what happened to me. I advise that you reconsider your...

So I’ve been to this coffee shop a few times and really enjoy doing school work at this shop. The last time I came into the store I had bought coffee earlier before from another business. I always love to support many local businesses so I bought food from Turks Head (which was more expensive than the coffee I bought from somewhere else) so I could go and enjoy the seating in the building. I went to go upstairs to do work and was rudely and passive aggressively told I was not welcomed unless I bought a coffee. I argued and said that I spent money and gave them business so I don’t see the issue with me sitting and doing work. The staff is very rude and not really friendly and welcoming. They also waited till after we spent money on food, and discussed very openly that we were going to do work, to tell us that we could not sit in there. As someone who is a manager at another coffee shop, I would never treat customers this way and do not recommend going to this...

The best cappuccino I've ever had in the U.S. Really far and above other cafes. Employees were super friendly and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that, evidently, at some point in time, there were 2-top tables inside. There are photos showing this arrangement. However, when I visited 3/13/25, there were only 2 long tables at the window, which could only accommodate, maybe 8 people. I just remembered that I had heard an employee telling a customer that there's an upstairs section that's quieter and with more seating. Street parking (metered) is challenging, but I immediately found a spot in the public parking lot (also metered) half a block away. They have all types of coffees, teas, and fruit drinks. They also offer bagels with a variety of toppings. They have danishes and coffee crumb cake as well. The cherry crumb danish I had was delicious.

I really liked the atmosphere here especially the upstairs where they have games you can sit down and play for a bit. The employees were friendly enough and our drinks were made quickly and we didn't have to wait in line long. I got a chai tea latte which wasn't good at all, very bland but in their defense they're more of a coffee shop than a regular cafe. They also had very little in the way of something to eat which is disappointing. My husband loves their coffee so he said his latte was good but not the best. We went to the other cafe nearby after here to grab a small bite to eat and I got another hot drink since I didn't even finish my chai tea. If all you want is a decent cup of coffee then this is a great spot for you but I'm a tea drinker and avid snacker so not really the place for me.

Great local coffee roaster and coffee shop (they roast their own beans, font just buy them - super fresh!). The gentleman who is regularly the barista when I have visited, is delightful and makes great drinks. Just this weekend he even turned the foam from my latte into a smiling ghost and pumpkin 🤯. That's some serious skill! My kiddos were impressed! (I was too). If you like great local coffee, this is your spot. Oh.... and try a flavored foam/froth on your latte - I didn't even know that existed until I came here.
