Ordered through grub hub since we needed delivery and it is not an option through the restaurant. We ordered over $100 worth of food, and one sandwich was made incorrectly (ordered no cheese due to allergy). The chicken steak came with cheese, so my friend called the restaurant to see if we could go directly through them to get the sandwich fixed. The girl on the phone was very polite, but she could hear the manager screaming at her in the background. When the girl came back to the phone she explained the manager could do nothing. My friend apologized to the girl for her manager’s behavior and asked for her to put him on the phone. The manager then started to yell at my friend telling her it was her fault and grubhubs fault for the wrong order even though it was not. He told her she was terrible person calling her names such as “bitch” and that type of women bc She ordered through grub hub bc She needed delivery. She then put him on speaker for all of our friends to hear and everyone was mortified. She finally hung up because she was crying hysterically. I then told my husband to call back to speak to this man because I wasn’t sure if he was treating my friend this way because she is a woman. He then yelled at my husband for the same reasons, and refused to give in to anything. He even told the manager that he made our friend cry and he said, “good!”
We are all still in shock that someone could speak to anyone in this manor. I will personally never ever order from here again solely based on the way we...
Read moreThere are only two pizza places on this green earth that matter: Lorenzo's and one other place out by Pittsburgh that my ex and I would stop by when visiting the in-laws that I can't remember the name of. That place is awesome, but I have no business venturing out that way these days. I mean, that pizza was amazing and had a shhhhhhhhhitload of cheese uncooked on top of a cooked pizza slice. Anyway, that's neither here nor there.
I lived in various parts of Philly for college and the years thereafter and routinely would trek to 3rd and South to grab a slice at the original Lorenzo's. When I moved to the area and married my beloved, I was so happy to introduce him to these amazing, gigantic slices. There were so many ways in which I bettered his life.
A great thing about the West Chester Lorenzo's is how cool the building is. In the summer, the bottom floor has a gigantic window that opens up with a screen so you can sit at the bar that faces out into the world. Or you can go upstairs and grab a seat at one of the many tables up there. I enjoy going to one of the tables that overlook Iron Hill. You never know if anyone you're still deeply in love with might be having a work happy hour there, right? I'd give my ex a call and ask what the name of that other amazing pizza place is, but its it's only been a couple of days since my last call where I just cried at him from a friend's phone. Anyway, hey...
Read moreOn Friday 3/2, we ordered a 16 by 16 pie half as a tomato pie and half with cheese. We made it abundantly clear that the tomatoe half had to be only tomato with no cheese. This order was repeated and clarified with the person taking the order. The order was necessary due to the vegan needs of one person in our family. We picked up the pizza and when we got it home, the tomato half had Parmesan cheese all over it . We called immediately and the manager on duty said we could get a new pizza except that the power was out. He was customer oriented; he asked to call in the morning. We called as requested. Unfortunately the manager that we spoke to in the morning was the opposite of the manager of the evening before. She stated that she "wasn't sure what really happened". Her attitude was offensive and totally lacking in customer orientation. She would not apologize and offered to give us a gift certificate for half the pizza. We told her no thanks, that we didn't want to do business with a firm that had such low disregard for...
