My first impression of Penn's Table was that it was loud, crowded, and uncomfortable. I ordered Breakfast option #1 (two eggs, toast, home fries), priced at $4.99. I was with a friend at the time, and when the waitress came to ask for our orders, my friend hadn't quite decided what to get yet. The waitress asked me if I was ready to order and I said yes. Then she smiled and walked away to another table. I was confused as to why she had walked away, but chalked it down to perhaps her mishearing me (somehow). My thoughts on the food were as follows: the eggs were shaped unnaturally, and despite my eggs being poached, one was undercooked and one was very overcooked; the home fries were in a diced potato fashion and were inconsistently cooked - either very undercooked or very overcooked, but always hard as a rock and almost unseasoned; the entire meal was brought to me cold. When we received the bill, it had a mysterious extra charge for $2, which I discovered was because I had asked for the eggs poached. However, I was under the guise that I could pick how I wanted my eggs cooked 1) just like any other restaurant and 2) as there was no style set, it only said "two eggs". The cashier searched through the menu until she found what she was looking for - in the middle of the menu, on a completely different page from the one I had ordered from, was an "additional sides" section with a little line saying "poached eggs: $2". Anyone who had managed to find this little random line of text would assume that it meant if you ordered another poached egg that didn't come with your meal as it was, again, under the *additional sides* section and the average restaurant will let you pick how you would like your eggs cooked unless they have a specific type of egg set in your order - and even then, they will often let you change it. However, when I pointed this out and explained that I was not willing to pay an additional $2 charge for something not pointed out to me beforehand, as well as it being on a random page in small font in a random section of the menu that even then didn't explain the charge, the cashier snapped at me, shouting "Fine! I'll take it off your charge this time, but next time it is an additional $2 for getting it poached." Then she glared at me and my friend, took the money for the meal, and stormed off. As a customer service worker myself at a restaurant, I was shocked at how rudely I had been treated as a customer. I had calmly stated my reasoning for refusing to pay an additional charge, and had a good reason as well, but even if I hadn't and instead had screamed at her or acted rudely, I was the customer. As a service worker you never snap or act rudely toward a customer - even if they deserve it, which I didn't. I know how hard it can be sometimes, but you grit your teeth and smile, or at least do your job calmly, and the fact that this woman had snapped at me so quickly over nothing was the rotten cherry on an extremely poorly-made sundae. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Penn's Table, and I suggest that anyone who considers eating there does not waste their time or money doing so.

If I wasn't starving after a night shift and aposed to waste food, I wouldn't have finished my meal. I got the biscuits and gravy. The gravy had no flavor, none... I felt like I was eating milk and crisco. I love chorizo, and the sparce bits of them were chewy and flavorless. The biscuits were good, and the salted butter in them brought out a bit of flavor, but nothing worth $12. Did I say $12 (like on the menu)? I mean $13 because that is what I was charged. Wait $13? Dont forget they charged me $1.50 for the egg on top, which is included in the dish! Last complaint, the plate serving the dish was ribbed on the diameter, which made it difficult to scoop the "bowl of soup" amount of flavorless gravy. Service was quick, girl was attentive, although please don't ask to take the check from the table 30 seconds after you dropped it off, genuinly she dropped it off and in the time i took the photo shown she was back to collect it. I was still working out getting her a good tip and I dont like being rushed at breakfast in an empty café where I was unhappy with the food.(this is nit picky and in a busy environment, I get it get the transaction done, but there were 3 other patrons, not a breakfast rush) Maybe I'm tired, cranky. But this is how I felt. Unsatisfied and rushed. I spent $26 for breakfast today, and I would've rather eaten honey bunches of oats and a yogurt and had the $24.50 left over in my pocket.

Walked in for an order to go, hostess couldn’t wait for me to get my card out of purse before walking away leaving another employee to attempt to check me out. He ended up charging me 50 dollars for someone else’s meal. Had to wait for that get fixed before the original hostess came back and finished my check out. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel, that’s it. 10.50. FOR JUST A BACON EGG AND CHEESE ON A BAGEL. Lesson was learned I will not ever be going back for anything. That pricing is ridiculous. I attached a photo of the 10.50 sandwich

I went to Penns table for the first time today And to say, I was disappointed was an understatement. We arrived at 3:30 And there were not many people at the bar or dining (Maximum of maybe 10 people total.) When seated, We were seated at the back of the restaurant despite there being open hightop tables and tables closer to the windows or doors. When sitting down at 3:30, We were under the impression That the lunch menu is being served considering on their website, It states lunch is served till 4pm. When we get our drinks, No straws were given to us for our waters or for our soft drinks and we had to ask twice to receive them. We then ordered an appetizer and two entrées, one being a sandwich and we asked what does it come with? The waitress replied fries so we agreed to fries and all the food took about 15 minutes to all come out. Our appetizer comes out and as soon as we take a bite, our waitress asks us if we want our food since it was all ready and we said yes puzzled by why our food wasn’t strategically put in so we could enjoy our appetizers then our entree. The food was fine at best but lacked flavor. We ate and finished without the waitress coming to check in on us one time for any refills, etc. The bus boy clears the table and we sit for an additional 10 minutes as we watch our waitress just talking to another staff member and not paying attention. We then end our meal with a check, where we come to find out, the prices on the menu did not matched what we were charged (the turkey Ruben was $16 but we were charged $17 plus an up charge for fries which we were told came with the meal, and my Caesar salad should have been $10.50 + 6 for protein but was instead charged $17.50)

The staff did not pay attention or care, we were charged dinner prices/incorrect prices from what was reflected on the menu, and the food was nothing worth being charged almost double for when we got to the restaurant and ordered well before 4pm. I am very disappointed with my experience and will not...

I wanna leave a pretty detailed honest review for anyone else who’s thinking of going here.

The only pleasant thing I have to say is that the service was kind and fast. Our server was very quick with coffee refills and very polite.

For the atmosphere, I gave it a two because it did look nice on the inside the flooring, the walls, the ceiling, the diner counter very nice.

On the other hand having the staff just hang out watching customers whether it’s the bus boys, the cooks behind the dining counter or the servers just watching you it’s kind of awkward for any kind of conversation with friends or family at your table. And it seemed like the place wasn’t that busy for a Saturday morning because of how much they could hang out. Also hearing their conversations with each other like “oh you’re the worst Cook here” I didn’t really find appropriate while I’m eating the food.

On the topic of food, I can confirm he was the worst cook there. When I try a new place, I don’t wanna just do eggs, bacon and toast because anybody could cook that so I got the cream chip beef over toast and home fries And a side of bacon.

The bacon seemed microwaved rubbery yet overcooked at the same time the cream chip beef was very bland, and the potatoes were hardly cooked

My girlfriend had ordered two poached eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and scrapple. She barely ate her meal. The scrapple was nothing but mush and seemed undercooked so she could barely get anything down.

For my daughter‘s plate size pancake or I would say half size pancake. But the worst thing about hers was the drink the chocolate milk here, and I had to taste it because she would not drink. It tasted like expired milk with cocoa powder in it.

I just wanted to give our experience if you go there and have a great time, I’m happy for you. Just double think on ordering these items and make sure your milk is fresh.

And don’t forget to tip your server. It’s not their...
