Barcocina West Town is a great dining and entertainment venue that I visited Tuesday night for a work dinner. We went since we knew our friends at Latin Street Music and Dancing were hosting a Latin dance night. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and lively entertainment made for an fun evening.
As we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. They were attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable. We were impressed by the size of the restaurant, which was much bigger than we had anticipated. The space was beautifully designed and decorated, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. There’s a main bar, another small bar area in the back, a huge patio space and I want to say at least 5 or 6 bathrooms. Everything was very clean.
We were shown to our table, which was nicely set and very spacious. The server handed us the menus, which offered an extensive selection of dishes, including a wide range of Mexican-inspired cuisine. I must admit that I'm not a huge fan of the food, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available.
We started with the elites which was the best part. We then tried the ahi tuna tacos, and Mahi tacos, Brussels spouts, and Yuka tots.
While the food was ok, I think my favorite part was the elotes, it was the service that really stood out. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered helpful suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated the quick service, as our food arrived promptly after ordering.
After dinner, we stayed for the Latin dance night hosted by Latin Street Music and Dancing. The energy in the room was so much fun, with dancers of all skill levels enjoying the music and moving to the beat. The music was fantastic, with a mix of salsa, bachata, and other Latin styles. It was a great way to work off some of the calories we had consumed earlier!
I would highly recommend Barcocina West Town for anyone looking for a great dining and entertainment experience. The food is good, but it's the service and entertainment that really make this venue stand out. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and the Latin dance night is an added bonus. Whether you're looking for a casual night out with friends or a more formal event, Barcocina West Town has something for everyone. I can't wait to go back and try some more of...

Stopped by on a Tuesday night after work. Loved the atmosphere. Festive, not gaudy. Lots of string lights. We didn't have reservations but were able to sit in one of two bar areas. We were able to find seating on the couches in the bar area. This was a welcome relief.
This month, they had a deal for Tuesdays - free margarita flight for 2 with a food purchase. My group of five received two flights (four margaritas each flight.)
We ordered three taco flights (four tacos each flight), steak tacos (3 per order) and poke tacos (3 per order). We had a option of four different tacos for the flights, any combination. I chose the shredded chicken and shrimp tacos. Loved them both! The chicken was spicy and the shrimp was sweet. The steak tacos seemed to be a favorite amongst my friends too.
For dessert, we ordered churro bites. This was served with 3 sauces - caramel, chocolate and strawberry. Very tasty. I would have asked for another order if my personal trainer wasn't in the restaurant at the same time.
The only negative I have was the service. There may have been a question as to who was responsible for our area. Apparently, servers didn't cover the area since we were technically in the bar. At the same time, it seemed as if the bartenders weren't responsible for us either. Eventually, a bartender came by but we also had to go to the bar a couple of times to order more and to pay. This won't cause me not to go back because I definitely will. I just know how to...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with this place. We have walked by it a few times, and decided to finally try them. We will not be going back, and I strongly recommend you don't either. Food: The tacos are well below average for the area, despite being above average price. Unlike other establishments in the area, the tortillas definitely tasted like they were packaged, and not fresh. The yuca tots had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. Even a touch of salt would have been nice. The empanadas were also below average. The only flavor they had was from the dipping sauce. Service: Most of the time our server was nowhere to be found. But when he was present he was kind. Atmosphere: While we were excited to sit outside, there was not much of an "atmosphere." I'm ok with paying more for the same quality of food when it is excellent service and atmosphere. I'm also ok with paying more for good food even if the service and/or atmosphere are bad. But honestly, you can get better food, service, and atmosphere for a fraction of the price at several other establishments in the area. I normally don't write reviews for places, because I'm not a picky eater. But when we left with a $95 bill (before tip) for 2 mediocre appetizers, 2 taco orders with what tasted like pre-packaged tortillas, and 2 mediocre drinks, at a place with poor service and no atmosphere, I feel obligated to...
