Here I am, back with another update on Cleo's Bar & Grill, and guess what? The streak of satisfaction continues! Cleo's has yet to disappoint me, and that's saying something because, let's be honest, I love to complain (just for the fun of it). This time, I visited on a Thursday night, driven by an undeniable craving for the best Caesar dressing in the city - Cleo's never fails to deliver.
Okay, I might be getting carried away with my obsession with their Caesar dressing, but seriously, it's a game-changer, especially when paired with their Caesar salad. I can't quite put my finger on whether it's homemade, but who cares when it hits the spot every single time? My advice: definitely make sure to order their Caesar salad; you won't regret it.
Now, let's talk about the other staples that keep me coming back. I always go for their chili, and this time, I went all out with extra, I mean EXTRA, onions and a side of avocado. I stand by my belief that chili is a year-round delight, and at Cleo's, it has become a non-negotiable part of my meal. Consistency is key, and Cleo's nails it every single time.
On this visit, we decided to mix things up and ordered the shrimp Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was nothing short of fantastic, with just the right combination of flavors. And, of course, being a bunch of rebels, we couldn't resist taking shots of Malort and Rumple Minze - because why not?
Now, onto the newest addition that took me by surprise - Cleo's Bar & Grill recently underwent a fabulous update to their bathrooms. Cleanliness is next to godliness, and Cleo's has taken this saying to heart. The updated bathrooms are impeccably clean, reflecting the bar's commitment to maintaining a top-notch environment for its patrons.
So, there you have it - not only does Cleo's excel in serving up delectable dishes and delightful drinks, but they've also invested in enhancing the overall atmosphere with stylish and clean facilities, making it an even more enjoyable place to unwind. Cheers to Cleo's for keeping things fresh...
Read moreFirst time I went was during the week for Women’s FIFA World Cup. Service was good enough a little rowdy for a Thursday but nonetheless a good bar. Went the following day Friday to watch USWNT, bar was packed. Anticipated having to stand, really would have been fine with that had I been able to order a beer within 20+ mins. Mind you, they had 1 bartender at the actual bar. He was serving everyone around me, as soon as he got to me he would purposefully act like he had to go take someone else’s order or just plain ignored me. Idk if it’s cause we’re gay, (gf and I, though everyone there was probably a lesbian let’s be honest it’s USWNT 🙄) or if it was because we are black (my gf aa I am afrolatina). Over all gave me MAJOR bad vibes. Had to speak to the man in Spanish to get his attention after 20+ mins then asked what the issue was and if I could order a beer or not (after he had just served the person who had just arrived, standing next to me). The bartender still tried to act like he couldn’t serve me until some white girls standing behind us started asking why I couldn’t get a drink etc. (hadn’t had anything yet besides free water that was sitting on the bar, self serve style). Then and ONLY then did he ask my gf and I what we wanted to order. He did give us the drinks for free while looking at the white girls the whole time as if to say, “see I did a good thing!”. I took my free drink and will probably never be back again. But pro tip, if you are going to have a SOCCER bar train your staff to be inclusive, it’s only THE MOST popular sport on the PLANET that means, you may have to serve, black people! cleo bartenders gasp in self hate Also having alt white people work there doesn’t make it inherently inclusive, do better!...
Read moreThis place does not even deserve a 1 star. After ordering our food and drinks the bar tender failed to follow up with us, she was going in and out from the patio and we were sitting right by the door and she failed to check up with my party of 4. Finally I had to stop her before she went behind the bar to request 3 more drinks. Time passed by and she forgot about our drinks. After 30 minutes I had to remind her that we had ordered our drinks and she responded “ oh i thought I brought them over to you guys”.... and later a few minutes pass by and she brings them over and we request the check. We paid under one check and due to her poor service she received a tip but not over the amount of 10%. Finally after paying, we moved to the bar hopping that perhaps service might be better. Come to find ourselves ignored.... bar tender came in and out of the bar and not even once acknowledged us. The owner was sitting at the bar and did not once said to her bar tender to acknowledge us. Finally after getting her attention she told us she was refusing to serve us, after walking out with my party, one of us we returned back to find out the reason, and she informed us because we did not tip her enough, she was explained the reason why and she claimed she didn’t forget our drinks and did follow up with us, lying in front of the owner we decided never to ever return to this establishment! As facing this pandemic we continue visit local businesses and this is the result....
