Dunkin' — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

4/25/2024 - I may sound like an A-Hole for this review BUT it’s what I’ve observed over a period of a year of running in and out of here when grabbing a coffee before my dance class. Literally in the amount it takes for me to wait for my drink. I may edit this at some point if I see an improvement. But…

Whoever owns this Dunkin should check their employees and their store ASAP!

There is NO reason whatsoever why this Dunkin should appear to be closed at all times. They basically make it seem as if this location is closed for the day. They put the chairs up on the table’s. They don’t allow paying customers to use the restroom because they apparently close them for the day, yet they have a whole hour and a half to close the restaurant down. They’ve kicked out paying customers from the sitting area because they can’t sit and enjoy their coffee they just bought, even though the restaurant has a whole hour to close.

Their customer service skills are poor, rude and disrespectful. Making it obvious they don’t want paying customers to come back and buy.

BUT they’re okay with their friends who come over with whom they’ve had whole personal conversations they shouldn’t be having when customers are around. They’ll ignore customers because the gossip is too juicy to wait. They’re definitely too chill to be professionals handling hot food.

So if you (the owner and/or manager) wonder why this location has the rating it does it’s for sure your employed staff and not doing anything about it could imply...

I originally ordered a large iced coffee for $2 was told that they only have small or medium. Wasn't going to complain until I realized they had large cups on Baskin Robbin side even though they have the same cups. Called to complain to manager...supposedly the person who answered was the "manager". She explained to me that they make more money on Baskin Robbin side and that was the last of the large cups and that's why they couldn't give me the large iced coffee that I asked for. She also said her manager said to not serve large cups on Dunkin side....she literally said SHE was the manager..also she was the same person that took my order.This has happened multiple times. Do not offer any size drinks for $2 if you don't have cups. That's not my problem that supposedly they ran out of large cups on Dunkin side. I can just wonder what would have happened if I ordered online through Dunkin app, grub hub or Uber eats. Also please don't ever tell a customer that they couldn't get what they asked for because they aren't paying enough!!!!extremely unprofessional and just plain RUDE!I ordered at 4:54pm on 08/24/2022. Called to complain at 5:42pm. Never grabbed the "managers" name but she has blonde hair. Please check cameras and find out the employee responsible for this order. Telling someone they are too poor to receive what they ask for is really messed up! Especially when Dunkin donuts offers any size...

Went to order a simple large hot coffee cream and sugar with a plain bagel cream cheese. Came in said good morning to the cashier but attention was elsewhere, when she did acknowledge me her attitude was very dry and nonchalant but as soon as she was done with my order and saw the next customer she greeted her nice and welcoming (didn’t know I had to be a friend to be treated like a human being at this location). Now comes the part where the people who are making the orders…who are yelling at customers loudly (at above normal yelling out orders tones)and having ask customers what they’re waiting for even though they have a screen on the back with the orders…then give out someone else my order that ordered after me and having to delegate what I’m waiting for, so now I’m waiting for my bagel to be remade the employee was laughing with her coworker (not to mention there was two employees working the hot station) this just helps confirm that I should making my own coffee at home instead of dealing with bitter and unpleasant staff, that belittles the customers and harass you for something I already paid for...it’s not hard of a job I work in the...
