I’ve been wanting to try out this spot for ages and am so glad to have finally snagged a pickup window on Friday. It did not disappoint and is worth the hype. The pasta is fresh, flavorful, and the value is good— all this quality food for ~$25 per person total (solid compared to nearly every other pasta restaurant in the Wicker/West Town area). It’s clear the level of thought and detail that goes into the dishes and into the design of each day’s different daily pasta dishes. I love the concept of different pastas and shapes each opening day. Our pickup order was for 6:45pm, and despite the long lines, it was pretty punctual. The inside is super small with just 4 squished tables (and it was also super hot), but I hope to return one day to try the dine-in BYOB experience. Food I tried: - Focaccia with Whipped Ricotta and Honeycomb (4.5/5): This came with a sizable hunk of soft and crispy foccacia which was delicious with the fresh ricotta and honeycomb. - Campanelle (daily pasta) with tuna, olives, pomodoro, mandarin olive oil (4.5/5): This tasted very fresh with a welcomed “fishy” flavor. - Lumache with Spicy Vodka Sauce (4.6/5): Not really spicy, but super creamy and flavorful nonetheless. Really enjoyed this one.

Pasta will never be the same for me after eating here. I don't think I can find adequate enough words to describe how amazing the food here is but stellar and delectable are the closest that come to mind. I ordered the casarecce with asparagus, lemon ricotta, and pecorino; it was better than I could've ever imagined. It was zesty, creamy, yet delicate, and you can taste the passion behind every plate as well. I left with a full belly and a happy heart. And don't even get me started on the focaccia, simply put, there's nothing else like it. It's a must try for sure. We were so full we were planning on taking it home but it fell on the ground as we were walking up to ask for a to-go box :( So if you saw a piece of focaccia in the bin, just know that it was with deep sadness we had to leave it behind... Seriously, I was sooo excited to devour it at home, I'm still dreaming of it! Sorry for the novel but I truly fell in love with this place. If you have even the tiniest inkling to check this place out, please do, you wont regret it.

Incredible pasta, perfect texture, flavor, and ingredient mix. I had read a lot about this place and went with some expectations, but I never imagined it would be this good. We had the Campanelle pasta, and it was our absolute favorite, I’d go back just to eat that dish again, the combination of blue cheese, almonds, and green beans is simply amazing, the pasta texture is spot on, and the portion sizes are generous. You can tell the quality from the very first bite. We even got to chat briefly with the owner, you can feel his passion and experience in every plate, he truly loves what he does. Just remember to get there early, since the place is small and fills up fast. Also, you can bring your own drinks (alcohol or soft drinks), which is awesome, pair your pasta with whatever you love, without paying extra. Flour Power is a must, that's all.

My partner and I come to Flour Power on a weekly basis -- it's easily our favorite restaurant in Chicago. If you read no further, here's all you need to know about this restaurant: incredible food at a very reasonably price and the staff is lovely!

My favorite part about Flour Power is that the menu changes every day. At a lot of other restaurants, I don't venture to try new dishes because I always stick with what I've had before and what I'm comfortable with. Here, I don't have the option to stick with one pasta, so I get to try new, unique, delicious pastas each time I go. I can confidently say that I've always been impressed with each pasta I've gotten here. The flavor combinations are ingenious -- sometimes you'll see ingredients you'd never expect to go together in a pasta and it'll end up being the best pasta you've ever tried.

And the focaccia! Flour Power's huge slabs of delicious, herby bread always complement the pasta perfectly. Now THAT'S the part of the meal I always rely on. Don't forget to add some to your order

Can't recommend this place enough. You've got to go to Flour Power at least once! And don't forget to order ahead, it's good so...
