I am trying to figure out how this restaurant has anywhere near an overall 5 star rating after the terrible experience my family had last night. Our dining experience at this location may be the worst we have ever had. Upon entering, the restaurant had maybe 5-6 other tables seated, the rest of the place was empty. My family was party of 3 and requested to be seated at a booth. While being escorted to our booth, there was a large puddle of water in front of the booth. No problem, we waited for her to get a rag to wipe it up. The hostess also made us aware that any pizza we ordered would be at least a 45 min wait, which we knew deep dish takes longer so ok. Next, Our waiter took our drink order and entire dinner order without writing a single thing down. He brought two drinks and had to come back to re-ask my son’s drink order. He then returned 10 mins later to re-ask what toppings we wanted on our pizza. He said “sorry yall, I haven’t slept in like 3 days”…what the heck. Are people being trained to not write down families orders?? I’ve never seen this before. While waiting for our food, we discovered another puddle of water in front of our booth. It appeared to be coming from some type of leak from behind the booth. Unfortunately my coat had slid off our booth partially touching the floor and was now wet from the puddle of water. We alerted the hostess and she sat a wet floor sign in front of our booth and said someone would be over to mop it up, I won’t go into much detail but know that who ever she called to mop it up was not happy about it and was arguing in front of customers. The hostess came over well over the 45 minute mark to apologize for the wait and offered us a free appetizer. We had only ordered one pizza with 2 toppings. We were given mozzarella sticks to hold us over. Which I was thankful for. However, after we ate the sticks, our waiter neglected to clear our dirty dishes. We had a stack of 3 dirty glasses, the dish holding our appetizer, and silverware sitting at the edge of the table to be cleared. Those dirty dishes stayed there until our departure. We also observed our waiter being told to clear a table from a party that left 20 mins after we arrived. He was knowingly slamming dishes around being ridiculously loud as if throwing a fit like a child being told to clean his mess. It was RIDICULOUS. My son also told us he heard cussing and fighting in the kitchen. Our pizza arrived and was not piping hot. After the prolonged wait, we expected at least a piping hot pizza that would have been immediately brought to our table to be served. It was clear it had sat back on the counter a while. It was warm and going cold around the edges. After all that, our pizza was boxed up without the cardboard circle supporting it and got extremely soggy and turned to mush. We are unable to even eat the leftovers. Our bill included a side of artichoke that I was never even brought. We were charged over 75$ for the meal, 10$ to park, and left totally disappointed. I think that this easily is the worst in dining experience I’ve ever had. My family is from Indiana, we had a long day at the hospital and were looking forward to the Chicago experience while having a simple deep dish pizza. I feel sorry for the hostess. She seemed to be the only one attempting to hold the place together. All around horrible experience, we will...

Do you want to try a super delicious Chicago-style pizza? Then Giordano’s restaurant is the place for that! A big plus is that it has multiple locations around Chicago, and many of them are open until late. I visited a few locations, and I can declare that every single restaurant was always ideally clean, nicely decorated, and, of course, very busy! The atmosphere at this restaurant chain is always fun! Note that during weekends and busy weekdays, it’s better to make a reservation if you want to eat inside. The bar area is often very busy too; it may be hard to get a seat there, especially if there are a few of you. Another option if you don’t want to wait in a long line for a table is to use the official website and place your order online. By the way, cooking a Chicago-style pizza usually takes about 30 minutes, so make sure to place your online order in advance before coming to the restaurant. Another big plus is that there are multiple size options for the pizza. I believe that an Individual size is more than enough for one person. Don’t be tricked by the Small size, as it is for 2-3 people (they put this information on the website menu when you place your order). The Chicago-style pizza is SUPER filling! Even when I order an individual size, I cannot finish it all at once; I always leave one piece for the next day. By the way, you can build your own pizza if you don’t see the one you want on the menu. I personally like to make a BBQ chicken/pepperoni/mushrooms/tomato pizza, but from time to time, I play with the ingredients depending on my mood. The restaurant menu has a lot of options for food. It’s not only about Chicago-style pizza, but I come to this place specifically for that. The prices on the menu are mostly reasonable, though a few items are overpriced, including the Chicago-style pizza, which is not that cheap. By the way, here’s a little trick: if there are two of you and your tastes are pretty much the same, order and share one Small Chicago-style pizza. It will be a bit more food and cheaper than ordering two Individual pizzas. This specific restaurant I am reviewing was the last one I recently visited. Its location is not very convenient, to be honest. The area around it is still developing and building up. But the restaurant is big, remodeled, everything there was in very good condition and ideally clean. Every single restaurant worker was sweet and friendly to me. And a plus is that it may not be as busy as the restaurants in Downtown Chicago, so you can always get a table there or seats at the bar. I absolutely recommend Giordano’s if you’re looking for Chicago-style pizza! Trust me, you will...

I had a really negative experience and am very disappointed! I ordered delivery that was 20-30 minutes late, and the driver was a mess. The driver called and had me waiting outside for 15 minutes and never showed. He then did come and was STILL at the wrong building- the receipt had the correct information on it.

I called and requested to have his tip removed, as he did nothing to earn it and I do not believe a delivery driver who failed to the bare minimum and did not complete the job should be tipped. The young woman who answered was extremely unprofessional and said the manager would call me back to refund me. It’s been 24 hours and no one has reached out at all, in any way. I have not been refunded or even apologized to- even when I called and explained the situation!

This is not a location I would ever go to or use again and I highly recommend you find a different business to patronize! They are highly unprofessional and I feel they stole from me and ignored a customer. Horrible non existent customer service. It’s way too expensive for such horrible service and unprofessional, nasty attitudes.

The young woman who answered the phone was so unprofessional and did not know what to do, and essentially told me that. She also tried to kind of blame me and tell a sob story about how they only had two drivers. Giordano’s is charging an extra surcharge- so I expect better service, not worse. Also, not a sob story and an incompetent, unprofessional employee who can’t even apologize about a customer’s negative experience. It’s the least she could have done- she needs training in customer service too. Very rude and...

Weekend Getaway—Chicago Located in the northern part of the Midwest, not sure how to describe it 😅 Home to one of the best Chinatowns in the U.S., or so they say. 👋 Must-Visit Spots No.1 The Bean Located in downtown Chicago, super close to the subway station, very convenient. The cool thing is, no matter what angle you take a photo from, you can capture the most vibrant views of Chicago. Definitely worth a visit! I went right before Christmas, not too crowded, but a bit chilly haha. No.2 Ferris Wheel Didn’t take good photos, so didn’t post them 😅 Very close to The Bean. Go at night to see the entire Chicago skyline—it’s like a mini New York, they say. No.3 Aquarium Heard it’s one of the top three aquariums in the U.S., and it’s HUGE! They have everything, but tickets might be a bit pricey. I went using a friend’s annual pass, so it was free for me. 👋 Chicago Food Top1 Chicago Pizza!!! The cheese is so thick, I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it myself! Lost the photos though 😭 When you go to a restaurant, order the Chicago Classic Pizza 🍕 Top2 Popcorn Famous and delicious! Affordable too! Top3 Chinese Food! Heard Chicago has super authentic Chinese food—grilled cold noodles, liangpi, all super tasty, but I haven’t tried them yet. Next time for sure! 👋 Transportation Uber or public transportation There’s still so much to explore in Chicago, I didn’t get to see it all! I went to a restaurant two weeks ago on a Friday night at around 7 pm. It was very crowded, and we had to wait for a spot in the parking lot. A valet attendant parked our car for $10. After that, we went inside and ordered three deep-dish pizzas at the front desk to save time. At around 8:00, a waitress guided us to an empty table and took our receipt to bring our other orders to the table. However, after waiting for 45 minutes, our food hadn't arrived. When we asked a waitress about our orders, she went to check the kitchen and returned, saying that it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting for 20 more minutes, we asked again about our food. Another waitress came and, without any apologies, informed us that they had lost our order. She asked us what we had ordered so she could tell the kitchen to prepare the food. We were shocked by this impolite behavior, but we told the waitress our order because my little daughter was waiting for the deep dish. Subsequently, we asked to speak to the manager and were told that he is usually behind the front desk. We explained our situation to him and told him that we had been waiting for our order for an hour and then were told that it had been lost. He apologized and informed us that we didn't need to pay for our food as it was their mistake. Initially, I was planning to give them only one star, but because the manager apologized and handled the situation well, I changed it to 3 stars. The deep-dish pizzas were delicious, and we loved them.
