I am Lactose intolerant (not vegan) and have been for many years now. One of the things I missed constantly when I had to stop consuming dairy was ice cream. As a result I have tried so many different ice cream shops and brands from the store.
I was excited to try this place but was honestly kind of disappointed and this might be right there with my disdain for any brand that uses coconut milk as it’s base (then all flavors have coconut like after taste and the consistency is usually not great). I think it’s really cool that everything in there is vegan, I had a vegan brownie that was okay but I’m going to focus on the ice cream here. The ice cream consistency was not there. It was not creamy the way non-vegan ice cream is. And yes, vegan ice cream can be creamy and delicious. There’s a great place in Oakland, CA that makes ice cream with cashew cream that gives it that creaminess. Talenti also makes vegan ice cream that is creamy and delicious and has more depth in their flavor. Magnum also make the BEST vegan ice cream bar with a creamy ice cream. Here I tried a strawberry. I did love the bits of strawberry but the consistency was kind of brittle and icy, the flavor was a bit hollow, tasted like it might be a soy or coconut base giving it a bit of an off after taste. I tried my friends cookies and cream and that one was honestly worse or perhaps the two ice creams just don’t go very well together. She was not very happy with hers either.
Overall I think this is a cute shop, they sell coffee, some other food, ice cream and pastries. I only tried ice cream, pastries and a chai. Was not really impressed by any of it and I walked in hungry too. Jeni’s is right up the street and has far better dairy free ice...

I had a brownie, and let me tell you, it was insanely good. Rich, gooey, and just the right amount of sweetness. My partner went for the ice cream, and it was a massive portion, super creamy, and bursting with flavor. We were both super happy with our choices.
The staff here are awesome—super friendly and always ready with a smile. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.
One of the coolest things about Logan Vegan is all the cute stuff they have for sale. From unique food items to fun little knick-knacks, there's always something to catch your eye. Perfect for finding a quirky gift or just treating yourself.
We heard they do an open mic night on Thursdays, which sounds like a blast. We didn't get to check it out this time, but it definitely adds to the charm of the place.
Logan Vegan is more than just a place to grab a bite—it's a spot where you can kick back, enjoy some great food, and soak in the good vibes. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to drop by. You won’t be...
Read moreThis is the best vegan ice cream store I've ever been to!
The ice cream is incredibly creamy and I seriously can't believe that John, the owner, makes all the flavors himself.
I've been on the HUNT for a good vegan creamery. It's better than Van Leeuwan and Vaca's. Until Logan Vegan, I thought Van Leeuwan was the best, but even then there were only maybe 2 flavors I liked from them. Every flavor I've tried so far at Logan Vegan has been heavenly.
I don't think I can rave about this place enough, it's so underrated. It's 30 minutes from me but I won't think twice about driving there if I have even the slightest urge for the ice cream.
I got the sprinkle cookie dough ice cream (which I think is my favorite) and sampled the chocolate (to die for) and cookies and creme (which are made with gluten free cookies). I'm going for the mint chocolate chip next.
Johns also got vegan cookies, donuts (from Beacon Doughnuts), and a bunch of other vegan shelf snacks. With live music and a really cute atmosphere to bring friends and family to, idk what more there is to ask for in an ice cream store.
100% you need to try this place. You'll regret it...
