Subject Line : I got a little less than I paid for.
When did getting a McDonald's meal become so expensive? It reminds me of a frog put in lukewarm water and the temperature slowly heats up until the Frog boils never jumping out because it was such a gradual change. The prices of McDonald's food seems to be creeping up in my opinion from getting cheap food quickly to getting not so cheap food not so quickly anymore . As I learned during this trip.
Moving forward with my latest experience, the place was busy, somewhat chaotic, and the employees were not at the top of their game; however it was lunch rush. I went through the drive thru which had two lanes, both full. For the amount of cars that were in the drive thru, as well as the amount of cars in the parking lot and how many people I could see were inside, the employees seemed to be doing, perhaps, the best they could under the circumstances. Although for sure there was room for improvement and they forgot to offer some additions [which advertised on the drive-thru sign that if they do not offer these items than the items are free] , when I pointed this out at the payment window they gave me the free item without a bad attitude. I was worried that they might try to renege but this did not occur. They seemed to learn from this mistake and communicated over the radio that they need to start offering the items to the rest of the customers. This was the Silver Lining of their own confusion, some lack of communication and moderately long waiting times. In the grand scheme of things, it was not the worst McDonald's experience but it was definitely not the best. I'll say this though, they got the job done, I got the food that I asked for ...eventually, without having to pull over and wait for it. This IS a fast food restaurant there are going to be similar pros and cons as were in my other fast food experiences ( both as an employee and customer). And like any other restaurant or business some employees with whom I had contact were nicer or to interact with than others; this aspect of my experience was obviously having to do with a person-to-person difference rather than the entire establishment. If I were to rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 1 being the worst McDonald's experience of my life and 10 being the best experience I never want to leave: this particular location would get about 6.75 for getting my order to me without being overtly rude nor not being outwardly pleasant either with a shockingly large total (In-fla-tion). I will visit again, even though I'll be expecting another ...
Read moreAbsolutely despicable service, both indoors and via the drive-thru. Ordered a large fry and McFlurry while in the drive-thru...got to the window paid/received the McFlurry and was asked to pull into spot #1 to wait for the French Fries at 5:03 p.m. At 5:13, I walked into the store to inquire about the fries and the 10 minute wait...I received nothing but attitude from an employee, I asked to speak with a manager and instead was offered cold fries that I by this time had waited 16 minutes for...I refused the fries and requested a refund for the fries with more adolescent attitude/behavior from an adult employee of McDonald's. . Poor reputation for McDonald's, poor time management skills, poor customer service and incredibly poor attitudes. The employees have poor performance/customer response because there is no manager leading by example. Yuck all the way around...lost a loyal customer. When I questioned the female about what the issue was why I've waited to long, I was offered a shrug of the shoulders and no words/ apology. I live in the area have frequented this location (Cermak & Western) and this was once my favorite location. In the last 9 months or so, I've seen the quality service diminish( forgotten items ordered, rude to other customers, and longer wait times) the smiling faces of the employees disappear. Today was the final straw for me. I've never complained before and chalked those things up as someone having a bad day or being distracted. For future reference when your customer has waited 10 minutes for a large French Fry and your employee's fail to provide the items paid for in a reasonable amount of time, apologize try to make it right! We are all going thru something, we may all be rattled for one reason or another, however, we can all, still remain diligent in doing the job that we chose to do. So disheartening....this location needs to revamp their entire workforce, beginning from...
Read moreThe worst unprofessional manager ever with the baddest attitude in USA I have ever met. I order a quarter pounder meal and asked if the shakes are included in it she said yes and the total was $7 something but when I got to the window to pay I was charged $10 something. I requested a manager and she said I am the manager and twisted the words saying shakes are included but you gotta pay the difference. It’s not a problem of $10 or $7 charge $15 but don’t lie and cheat customers instead of apologizing for mistake of wrong totaling. I asked are you sure you are doing the right thing by telling me a total of $7 and charging me $10 she said we have charged you for what you’ve ordered. I said mam I have ordered a quarter pounder meal. Shouldn’t I get a quarter pounder meal? She said I am just gonna refund you for the shake, would you like just the quarter pounder instead? I was like excuse me why would you cancel the shake? She said you clearly looks like are not gonna pay for it. I was like wow!! You know what just cancel the whole order and I would like a full refund now. She got me the receipt and was like just sign in the bottom so you can get your money in a week. Be on your word and charge what you said the actual total was. How can you tell a customer to cancel something which was ordered or what a customer would want to eat or not. This shouldn’t be the part of McDonald’s employees behavior or customer service expected from a “Branch Manager” Very disrespectful and disappointing. I like McDonald’s but never gonna go to this...
