This is definitely a good restaurant, and I would say that it is like Portillo’s because they both have various comfort foods that are both really delicious. I've been regularly going here for the past few months, and I've noticed a lot of things about this restaurant. The whole place is always clean and bright. The ambiance is definitely just something comfy and casual. What I like about this place is the fact that they have great customer service. The staff here are really polite and friendly and will gladly help with anything I could ask for. The food is also served fast, and not only fast because the food is also served fresh and hot. The flavors were definitely amazing, and it is exactly the type of food that I would want to order if I was disappointed or something, because it is indeed a comfort food. The food is really nice and somehow huge. The prices are reasonable and definitely just the regular price for every food item they have. This restaurant is just basically a good one, and there are really a lot of foods to try, and one thing is for sure, everything...
Read moreI do some work for a local management company and stop here for a bite every time I'm around. The place has the vintage Chicago pictures with Agean and Greek scenery that give it a fun Chicago vibe without being corny. The guys that work there are fun and again, have a bit if old school Chicago charm. I always get the hot Italian beef because, I'll be honest, it's just the best. It's piled with spicy peppers, cheese and beef that just tastes special. I do request extra juice on the side because I like ny sandwich soaking. The fries are crispy and delicious. My coworker today go the cheeseburger and kept saying how good it was at work. My boss got the gyro which he orders about twice a week because he says its 'da bomb.' I'm a native Chicagoean so Italian beefs and polish sausages have been part of my life since birth... However this place is special. Check it out and tell them Mike sent you... That won't get you anything but tell...
Read moreThis place pleasantly surprised me! My girlfriend and I just recently moved into Logan Square and have been looking for go-to places, and this definitely made the list. She specifically wanted a gyro so we found this place, and I'm not picky so I just got a double cheeseburger. Now, I worked at a Portillo's for a full year and eaten their burgers many times. I'm no stranger to typical Chicago/Midwest food, and this place knocked it out of the park. The meat was incredibly juicy, tender, and packed full of flavor. The tomato slice wedged in the burger was just about one of the sweetest tomatoes I have ever had. The lettuce was actually romaine and not the tasteless void that is iceberg! And they even grilled the bun! And to top it all off, the fries were great.
All in all, this place is a great little hole in the wall. They don't do anything particularly unique or special, but what they do,...
