The Inner Town Pub — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

This is far and above one of the best bars in Chicago. The bartenders are skilled, fast, and the highest quality people. The crowd is laid back and beautiful, with an eclectic mixture of folks of all walks of life playing pool, chatting with friends, or making out in the photo booth in the back. Speaking of photos, I would be remissed if I didn't mention the beautiful lighting that will brighten up anyone's avi or Instagram photoshoot.

The scene is only the most superficial side of the bar, however. The bartenders are SKILLED. They often have specials with drinks designed by master mixologist Brandon who runs the bars many a weekend, and humble as he may look, can get you the exact drink you want and maybe something you didn't know you wanted. Well on the plus side I like the interior a lot better than the Happy village nearby. And unlike most other cash only places these guys actually pass some of those savings on to you, you'll find many cheaper drinks here. And they do put the effort into things like a smoked old fashioned, where they will quite literally light a fire to smoke it. Downsides would be first off, they are cash only but do not put a sign up. It is in fact a major offense if you present a credit card, I kept forgetting the first few times I came and you would have thought that I was presenting severed heads as payment, that's how indignant they are at the sight of a credit card. Another downside would be how insanely packed it gets in this little space on the weekends. Bar Tender CJ will rob you for his tips, doesn’t care who you are if his friends are in the bar he will ignore you and shout over your head to his friends to ask if they want a drink while you’ve been waiting for him.
