The Whistler — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

I’m sick that I even have to put 1 star at all. If you are looking for a fun night out with the girls to decompress from working full time and family member’s home-going ceremonies back to back then this IS NOT the place for you!!!!! Bartender was extremely rude and unwelcoming, claiming for us to be too drunk and even threw my girl drink away when we had not been in the building for more than 10 minutes,it was barley touched!! After uncomfortable confrontation going back and forth with this rude adult of course she proceeded to LOOK DUMB AND APOLOGIZE WHILE REPLACING THE 3/4 FULL DRINK. Ok, so we decide to move away from the bar clearly someone is having a bad night at work. On the dance floor we are dancing our stressful lives away when ANOTHER WORKER tried to remove my girl from the floor for being too drunk by the way she was dancing???? So if you wanna sit in a corner, not dance, not laugh and joke out with the girls, or you wanna be a stick in the mud then yes by all means this is the place for you.

Never again!!! I live in the neighborhood and was so excited to check The Whistler our for my birthday. I invited a bunch of friends to meet me there too! While tying to get the attention of a bartender to switch from a closed tab to an open one as my card was being processed, the female bartender yelled 'please don't touch me!' I let her know what my intention was and she was so rude. I asked to speak with a manager, and 'Doug' was so unaccomdating and patronizing I couldn't believe it! I asked for my drinks to not even be made, as I couldn't wait to leave! I am baffled by how RUDE the staff were. I work in the service industry myself part-time, and I can’t even imagine myself or the rest of my bar team treating guests this way! I wouldn't come to this place again if it were the last place left to hang in the city! I’m so glad that Deadbolt is right across the street. My friends and I had a great time! Went there on a Thursday night around 6.30pm and the place was already packed. We signed on the waiting list and went somewhere else for drinks and they called us about an hour later to tell us our table was ready. It was a shared table but we didn't mind at all. This place was great, super fun atmosphere, live music, beautiful Christmas decorations and amazing food. We had a couple beers, we had the Nachos and a pizza. Everything tasted incredible. Great combination of flavors in their pizzas and the nachos were so rich! The portions are unbelievable. We had to take some leftovers home because it was so much food.
