I was having a small birthday party for a friend. I was looking for a pecan pie because that was her favorite for coffee and pie. I found this bakery, and I’ve never tried it before I called and they had pecan pie for $28 I thought that’s not very expensive. If it’s a really good pie, I have never tried this bakery before. I gave him two days to prepare the pie and I picked it up on Wednesday at noon I got home and opened the box and I made it. They called them because they must’ve made a mistake on the pie. It certainly did not look like anything that would cost $28 very small look like the same size that you would get at Walmart for seven dollars The girl on the phone told me they made a mistake and that it was really only $15 so come back and get a partial refund so I said OK and I did Well later on that night friends came over for coffee and pie and I was so embarrassed. It was absolutely the worst pecan pie I have ever eaten and I’m 67 years old so I’ve eaten some pecan pie. It was so dry the pecans were perfect, but there was no Fillin if there was any at all, I was very little and when you cut the pie and tried to serve it, most of the pecans just fell off and polite, very embarrassed and needless to say, they all wanted to know where I got the pie I am sure you make great cupcakes, but the pie was the worst. I will never do that again. What a shame because you’re so close you’re right across the street. Thank you and I guess I’ll go back to Publix for...
Read moreThe actual cake tasted really, really good. We discussed the details of the cake (an inspiration picture attached) and she explained that she could not make the cake look exactly like the picture based on some of the details. I understood and accepted. However, the cake presented was absolutely nothing like the inspiration cake I showed her. The cake was also a little warm, which caused it to slide and break apart during the transport home. I paid $65.00 and left a tip for a total of $70.00. For a round cakes with frosting, I could have done this at home or went to a grocery store baker and had them write a name at the top of a cake for a cheaper price tag. But I thought I was paying for more of an artistry type of cake and that price would have been worth the work. BUT the cake tasted good and they deserve credit for that. I would visit here again for a quick fix for a sweet tooth, but for speciality cakes, this is not the baker best point. Other speciality cakes posted appeared to have more effort put into them, so maybe it was just this...
Read moreWe had enjoyed Love A Cup Bakery before but today was next level. We scheduled a kids birthday party baking Christmas cookies. WOW! What an experience. The kids received aprons and hats of their own. Then they were able to make and create their own cookies. Cookie recipe was great and the bakers enjoyed rolling and cutting out their own cookies. They had break time while the cookies baked and was able to do a little celebrating. We ordered cupcakes for an extra fee, which were fabulous as well. Then they were able to ice a few cookies and take them home along with their extra dough. Cindy and her crew was very accomodating to our large, loud group of kids and adults. Drinks, coffee, candles that I forgot. They had! Everyone had a fantastic time and made many memories. I feel sure all the kids and adults will talk about this for a long time. If you are looking for a cute little place to grab a sweet or a place for a party, Cindy and her crew has you covered! Also, if it's your birthday, you get to choose a cupcake of...
