I am not one to complain. After a long day & low blood sugar I was in urgent need of food. I love Tokyo Grill and I, myself, have chosen to be a customer for years. I tried to call ahead at 9:15 so that I could pick up my order and get out of the way of the employees because I knew it was about to be closing time. No one answered. Granted, I recognize that this is very close to close. I have previously worked in service industry and bar industry for many years & I know it can be frustrating when someone comes in late. This photo was taken at 9:21pm when I tried to enter the building. As I pull into a parking spot, the employee seen sweeping in the back of this photo moved towards the door and locked it as he noticed I was coming into his establishment. l still proceeded to get out my car and try to go in to order, because surely, he wouldn’t lock the door while I’m 3 feet in front of him. Sure enough, the door was locked. He then proceeded to act as if I wasn’t standing at the door. In anger and absolute disbelief at the terrible customer service I had just received, I did honk my horn a few times leaving when driving away from the restaurant. My response was not in any way appropriate, however, I was just truly shocked that my presence was blatantly ignored and the door was locked while the employee actively makes eye contact with me 3 feet away. — the time in which I pulled out of the parking lot was 9:25. The business hours for this store location are 9:30! I am an extremely reasonable and understanding individual. I would have even understood if the night was slow and they wanted to close a few minutes early and had already throw the food away for the night. Again, I myself have also worked in the food industry before. Knowing in moments like this, he could have easily said, “I’m sorry ma’am, we’re closed.” I have NEVER had an employee lock their establishment while I am just a few feet from the entrance. Overall, I’m writing this to ensure the owner is made aware of the actions and disrespect that was given by employees of this restaurant on the night of July 26th, 2022 at Tokyo Grill on Augusta rd, located in West Columbia. The experience I had tonight has tarnished my want to ever give my business to this location in the future.

I reported my order to Tokyo grill. They never were able to pick up the phone and went to a voice-mail that is full. I contacted the next one in Irmo area. They addressed my complaint and still it should not have happened. Two orders I placed. And both terrible. How do u do online orders. And just send a steak and shrimp dinner. With no salad as the order included. And no steak n shrimp. Just a plate of rice.

Hard to believe they allowed this food to be delivered. The Shumai (only 4 of the six made the delivery trip) and gyoza were fried to a crisp (see photo) and the teriyaki chicken had rice instead of the requested vegetables, no utensils or napkins, which is irrelevant I guess, but thought I would mention it since we added it to the delivery order. Take your chances folks!

My most recent interaction with Tokyo Grill began with a quick phone call. I simply asked for a chicken bowl, it was dinner time, the woman on the other end of the phone mumbled a few phrases, and then it was over. I recalled her telling me it would be about 15 minutes for my order, but knowing that Tokyo Grill food is prepared catering style and kept warm in a heated bar, I headed over immediately.

As I walked into the store I noticed another customer, a man, waiting for his order. He (or maybe she, I don't fully remember if being honest) was given his order as I approached the counter, and then he quickly left the building. After telling the cashier my name, I was rung up and handed my order. The cashier was mildly to moderately polite. No more, no less.

I decided to drive home to try and enjoy the warm meal in the comfort of my own house. As I arrived at my doorstep I noticed that the box had shifted slightly out of center in the bag, but I didn't think anything of it at the time.

Finally after 15 minutes of walking a few steps and driving a car, I was about to take the first satisfying bite of my long awaited chicken bowl, so I did. It tasted fine, just pretty dry from sitting in the warmers. Everything went...

Do not call in an order here and expect it to be ready when they say, they dont place your call in order until you get there and pay. I called in a togo order and was told it would be ready within 10 minutes. So i arrived after 21 minutes, waited 3 or 4 minutes in line to get to the register and tell them im here to pick up my togo order. Well i pay thinking im about to get my order handed to me, and end up waiting an additional 15 minutes, watching people who walked in right before me get their orders and leave. so It ended up being nearly 35-40 minutes after i initially ordered to get my food. When i asked the cashier why he placed my order when i got there and not when I called it in, he claimed they had a rush. Which was a blatant lie, bc on the phone he stated 10 minutes it would be ready and i literally watched the people who walked in right before me get their orders. And to top it all off, I ordered steak with no mushrooms, get home finally and wallah mushrooms. Honestly, highly...
