Thank you to the team at Dave’s Hot Chicken West Covina, for consistently going above and beyond. The managers at this location are always warm, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. Every time I place my order, I request extra fries for my daughter, who prefers them without seasoning. While the app doesn’t allow special instructions, the management team not only remembers our order—they personally ensure it’s done right every time, without me even needing to ask.

That level of care and consistency speaks volumes about the leadership and the overall team here. I’m incredibly grateful for their kindness and attention to detail. The food is always outstanding, but what truly sets this location apart is the exceptional service and genuine hospitality. Recently moved to west covina and was soo excited to find out that I live right up the street from a Dave's hot chicken 🐔 😋 But this location wasn't too satisfying 😕 ordered for me and my family and 4 things weren't as planned.#1 asked for pickles and slaw on side so sandwich wasn't soggy when we get home but failed to do so.#2 they forgot my sons cinnamon toast shake #3 should of started with this they said ohh we're sorry but we only except card and I wasn't prepared for that soo I was about to leave then employee said "I can accept cash but my boss told me not to but I can't give you any change".I said that's fine you can have the change".#4 fries were over salted had to shake them off and pat salt off for my kids and the sandwiches were soggy and undercooked..never expected this cause I've been to Dave's hot chicken plenty of times just not this specific location 😢 what's going on Dave's dont lower...

The food is ok. The people are nice. But the fact that a business in the US does not accept cash as a way of payment is bullshit! Yes, it is legal and any business can choose how they want to accept payment for the service they provide to the public. However, this is a big franchise. They target advertises to kids on social media. These kids have parents, guardians, or family members that feel the pressure to take their families to this franchise, like I did. I had a card to use. But what about the parents, guardians, or family members who don't?What happens to those who find themselves in a cash only situation time of their lives?Not allowing them to use their hard earned cash is discrimination.
