It seems like the place is doing some cost cutting lately. I've noticed more cheese sauce on their menu. They replace the mozzarella cheese with cheese sauce on the Fonz. The stronger cheese sauce clashes with the Italian sausage. This sandwich requires a more milder Italian cheese. Also they did away with the make a combo deal. If now pay full price for when adding a drinks and fries/tots.
As for the food, it kind of dropped a notched. I wanted to try Bruce Kalman's Prochetta Bout It. I really wanted to like this sandwich. It might be good if it was prepared right, but what I got was just bad. They forgot to toast the bread. Got 4 roll instead 3 so the bread to meat ratio was off. The chicharron were so hard that it could have cracked a tooth.
Update: They went back to mozzarella cheese for the Fonz. Now, it taste right.
But the cost cutting seem to continue. The drinks cups have gotten smaller. I think they went from 16 oz to about 12 oz.
Update: just tried out two of their Happy Hour menu item. The first is the slice sausage. It's just a grilled sausage that is sliced up for looks. The cuts so not go thru. A little hard to eat that way. It comes with a dipping sauce. I had the spicy Italian which came with chipotle aioli.
The second item was the "this burger". It is a basic cheeseburger with grilled onions and mayo. It turned out to be a half burger. It was good but the restaurant needs to manage expectations better on this one. I expected a full burger and when I got a half I was kind of...
Read moreThis place has really good hot dog slash sausage slash hamburgers and the sides are excellent is well. I've had the other Maria and the Holy a goalie I'm a several others in peace to turn out to be my favorite so far. One thing I like is it they will cook a hamburger rare and they use a combination meet recipe for the actual patties for the hamburgers and they have some really interesting sausages. What's have a really excellent corn dog and besides I would particular recommend are the onion rings and the chili tater tots. Very crisp and crunchy. They also will put a lovely runny egg on your burger... or anything else. The staff is very friendly and courtious, and the expedite really quickly. All this is don't let the attention to detail in flavor and the ingredients are wonderful which adds up to really great food. I would definitely reccoment this establishment... oh yeah and am very good Deborah selection...

Stopped in for dinner with my wife and 2-year old daughter on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. The restaurant was hopping busy (always a good sign). Since it was my first time here I ordered a dog a slider and the sweet potato fries. Our order was prepared quickly and without error. 'The Cowboy' dog was properly dressed and tasty. Don't let the name 'Dog Haus' fool you, the hamburger is excellent. The beef in the slider was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection; I'm glad I chose to add it to my order.
Sweet potato fries can be hit or miss. I've had great great fries and horrible ones. Just like the dog and the burger the sweet potato fries here are worth a stop all by themselves.
The children's menu is great too. My daughter loved her hot dog and tater tots. I look forward to coming back to experience more of the...
