Classic Burger — Restaurant in West Covina

My husband and I eat here at least once a week. We always get the same thing (Beef Rice 🍙 Bowl with the salad on the side they charge you $2 more for salad on the side but you end up getting double rice 🍙 and meat 🍖!!) Unfortunately the last time we ate here has changed my opinion of the place. It was 45 min till closing time, the phone 📱 was off the hook (the guy working told me that it was because they were closing) I walked in the door 🚪 at 7:15pm they don't close till 8:00pm I asked for 2 of my regulars, the boy 👦 told me that they were closed and couldn't make them. I begged him please I just walked 10 min to get there before they closed (with my medical problems that walk 🚶 almost put me in the er) he finally told me that I could have just the meat 🍖 and rice 🍙 but he wouldn't give me the salad with it (makes no sense the salad dosent need to be cooked, but ok 👌 fine) He charged no for 2 beef rice 🍙 MEALS!! When I walked back to my house 🏠 I turned in my drive way right it 8:00pm (closing time) I got inside and opened my food end it was not even cooked all the way, the meat 🍖 was just barely browned and not cooked enough for us to even be able to eat it!! I drove 20minutes to this place and usually the customer service and food is amazing when the owner is there. He was not there today the people there were very rude, I ordered a burger, and 2 plates 1 being chicken teriyaki, I go home and as I’m about to hand my father his food I see they put NO chicken teriyaki on his plate at all, how can you miss that!? Classic Burger is an old school burger joint that sticks out when compared to the other restaurants found in the recently renovated McIntyer Square (shopping center).

But this is a good thing because the food is also old school and you know exactly what you're going to get.

While the burgers are good, my go to is the teriyaki chicken. It's served up with steamed rice and a salad. It's simple, filling and so good.

There are a few tables inside as well as outside where you can eat, but great for takeout.
