This was the WORST hotel experience we have ever had (and we travel a lot...this is our third trip in 6 weeks!).||||I booked online and had the receipt for a King, Non-Smoking Room with a Tub for $148.||||First the man asked if we wanted smoking or non-smoking. We said smoking.||He said that the corporate website booked it as smoking - to which I showed him the confirmation clearly showing smoking.||Then he started yelling at us that they are all non-smoking anyway - everyone smokes in all of them anyway...(then WHY did he even bother to ask which we wanted?)!||||Then he handed us the paperwork, and it was for over $20 more than my reservation confirmation! I pointed that out, and he got mad and started yelling at us even more!||He said it was because he had to change our booking to a non-smoking room (again, I have the confirmation for the non-smoking room at the $148). ||||We asked him to correct the amount charged, and he yelled at us that it was IMPOSSIBLE to cancel.||He said he would put a note on our paperwork that the price should be adjusted in the morning. Well, we might give this a chance....then, he wouldn't put the note on the paperwork! He said, oh, I will put it on the computer...||||When I asked why he wouldn't write the note as originally he promised, he started yelling at us again!!!||||Then he yelled "WHY DO YOU GET SO UPSET? IT IS ONLY $20!!"||I should have told him if I should just let me overcharge us because apparently it is OKAY if it is only $20, he should just pull out his wallet and give us a $20, since it is only $20!||||I told him that he was being unprofessional and unlawful to try to charge more than our confirmed reservation - and he yelled at me that he is being professional! That I was being unprofessional (ummm...I am the CUSTOMER here).||||My husband told him to cancel the charge, and to not speak to me that way.||||He again yelled that it is IMPOSSIBLE to cancel or refund the charge.||||Then I told him that he is trying to rip us off, and I would have to call the police.||Miracle of miracles, as soon as we mentioned the police, he SUDDENLY found a way to cancel the charges!||||The police did come quickly, and no surprise, they said that they get called out about this place and the OWNER on a WEEKLY basis!! The Police even said that it is in the permanent police records about how many times they have to come out about complaints about the owner!||||The have a lot of trouble at this location, and is probably why they had two police cars respond, not just one!||||The entire time, another hotel employee kept popping in and out, told the yelling owner to not speak anymore until the police arrived, and kept popping out and would run back in when the police were there as if he was afraid of being questioned, very fishy.||||The officers told me that I am lucky to not have to stay at that place, and offered some advice on some good areas that have good and honest hotels. ||||I was quickly able to make a reservation at another hotel (Best Western Plus Executive INN in Rowland Heights. The gal at the desk was pleasant and fair, and only charged us what our reservation stated. THAT is how it is...
Read moreOn Thursday 4/19/18, Worst experience I've ever had at any hotel! I'm shocked that WYNDHAM is even affiliated with this"hotel". We were originally reserved for 3 days in a Jacuzzi suite but upon arrival, we changed it to 1 day, but I couldn't even stomach staying in the room they gave us for 1 HOUR!!! The room had a very strong stinky MUSTY SMELL, strings of long hair all over the white floor from the door up to the carpet, Jacuzzi was DIRTY, top sheet and pillowcase was DIRTY. Mold on walls, night stand had screw sticking out n front to stab me. Chairs were filthy. I sat on the bed and could feel the springs. The whole room was old, dark and needs UPDATING. Front desk brought me Air freshener & clean sheets so that I CAN CHANGE THE BED, my Fiance spent 30 minutes trying to CLEAN the JACUZZI. After trying to clean and get room in a suitable condition, we decided that there's no way we could get any rest in that dump. Y should we have to go thru all of this trouble??? So we took videos and pictures and showed the front desk. He claimed the manager wasn't there, but Sam finally came from the back office and told him to refund our card and deposit. At 1st He tried to say we used the room but we explained that we were trying to change the dirty sheets and clean the filthy JACUZZI!!! I thought that was the end of it, BUT THE NEXT DAY, I SAW THEY PUT ANOTHER $129.87 CHARGE BACK ON MY CREDIT CARD! So we spent at least 5 hours off and on Friday calling and going back up there trying to reach MANAGER SHIRAZ to take charges off my card. We finally caught up with him about 11:30 pm and once he viewed the VIDEO and pics, he apologized several times and assured me that he was taking the charge off my account. He even gave me his cell phone number and called me back twice after 1 a.m. to tell me that he took care of it. The next morning, I checked my account and called my card company and they said that the charge hasn't even been reversed. I have since been trying to reach SHIRAZ and he's BLOCKED my calls and of course not reachable at the hotel. So he just LIED TO MY FACE AND OBVIOUSLY IS A FRAUD!!! If he was truly legit, he would have kept his word and at least responded to my calls and texts by now. It's Sunday morning and still nothing from him. This is totally...
Read moreThieves! Avoid this Days Inn at all costs! They charged my card $57.50 without my authorization after I booked a room through the Wyndham Rewards app. When I got here, the jerk at the front desk informs me that he would be charging me the full room rate of $60.50 ON TOP of the money they already took without my authorization. I told him this was unacceptable, and tried to call Wyndham, (who was closed, naturally). I was forced to overdraft my account because of this deceptive practice, and this a**hole was going to let me and my son sleep in my car because of their screw up. I have stayed at MANY Wyndham properties over the course of the summer, mostly for the rewards program, and this is NOT standard practice. The rewards program is not worth it when they allow these kinds of low-life criminals to franchise themselves under their name! And no one is held accountable, the customer is always wrong, all hail the corporation. What do they care if I can't afford an extra $57.50 to be held out of my account until... When, exactly? Whenever their robot masters see fit to release it to the insignificant human. And to add insult to injury, the prick at the desk wouldn't give me the keys until I signed an authorization AFTER THE FACT for them to take the $57.50 they stole from my account, along with a separate authorization for the room rate. I consider this extortion and I'm pretty sure it was illegal. I intend to notify The Consumer Protection Agency, the BBB, and the FTC about these disgusting practices, and will take whatever legal action I can. But I'm only a person, so all I can really do is tell others about what kind of business they are running, on every forum possible. Don't do business with Days Inn of West Covina. You won't have the protection of Wyndham, and they're just plain...
