UPDATE....We move up to 5*....I would have it sooner but I just kind of forgot to do so. Been going here for a few years now and it's consistent! My kids love sisig and dinuguan, which is good here. To be honest, there isn't a dish I have tried that isn't good. We recently even tried the Ube crinkle cookies because they are gluten free and even they were good! Old review: 4 stars only because I am not sure if 5 is deserved yet. As I haven't eaten enough of the food items on the menu to make that decision. Great food, fast service, menu changes daily. If you traditional foods and dishes, check it out but look at their online menu for each day as different items or your favorite dish may not be served that day. Classics are served daily though......

It all started on a Sunday afternoon when I hopped on my motorcycle and decided to ride around. After making a few pit stops, I remembered that there was a Filipino restaurant nearby, this had taken place of Pinoy Pinay and I had yet to try it. The remodel is awesome and full of life. The place is pretty clean other than a few fingerprints on windows and some of the furniture. The employees are nice and helpful. Not being exposed to the Filipino culture much, I always need help with the selection of food, employees did a great job aiding me. The food is really good but there are some issues with temperature, as soon as I paid, I sat down to eat, although delicious, my pancit and chicharrón were warm but not hot. 8/10 would recommend.

Cannot support price gouging and that's exactly what we have here. This is the second time I felt that they overcharged us. They're menu is messed up and did not reflect true price. How can our meal be worth $28.98+tax ? See attached picture. Food is mediocre to boot. This is West Covina area and there are lots of really good, really reasonably priced Filipino restaurants (Manila Sunset being one of them). Go and eat there instead. Never again shall we eat here. Never!

What happened to this staff? Specifically the women? I came in feeling under the weather just wanted a bowl of soup. When I first asked, the girl helping me looked at me oddly. I asked again if they have sinigang. She said, “No, they have another kind of soup.” I didn’t even know what that soup tasted like but I just wanted a soup so I can go home. Then they tell me they don’t sell the soup by itself….. What!? You’re not a corporate business. If you don’t have a button to charge for soup, you create one. How do you turn money away as a small business? It’s beyond me. Couple of other times I’ve asked for somethin and they are just so unwilling. Why!? I been on my last straw with this place. Everytime I come here with my daughter I’m just hoping I find another place she likes. The women, who happen to be of my ethnicity have gotten so Americanized that they don’t smile, they don’t have hospitality, they even forgot how to accommodate. I usually tell them “maraming salamat” before I go and they usually give no response. I came over here from the Philippines at a young age. I know very well how harsh the comparisons are to life here in the U.S compared to the Philippines. You hit the ground running here, people are rough in some areas and there are people out here waiting to take advantage of you. But regardless of my struggles here for 33 years, my character has remained intact. Maybe for them it’s too late to change who they have become. Anyway, after I left I called a couple of other places, Toto’s Lechon had sinigang. I go over and it’s like night and day. Those women are smiling. They are happy and enthusiastic, making jokes with me. Thanks to them I’m at home comfortably having what was voted the best...

This location was originally the "PINOY-PINAY" restaurant. When Titas of Manila took over, we visited and were disappointed. Let's call it the "adjustment period" or "learning curve" of the new management who were still determining the effective system in operating this once very successful restaurant.

After a few number of years, we decided to give Titas another shot (this 2024). We were pleased to find the steam table "FULL" - the way it's supposed to be. So we chose our items. Sadly, they did away with the 3-item combo. The limit is 2-item max. If you want a 3rd item, you will need to order it a La Carte - either in Small, Medium, or Large size.

Mind you, they now charge extra if you choose "HALF-&-HALF" (half RICE, half PANCIT), and I believe - if you ask for "extra" items, i.e., fish sauce, lechon sauce, other sauces - pls verify.

FOOD REVIEW: It has IMPROVED SIGNIFICANTLY from their first few months of operation, kudos! We were very satisfied.

SERVICE REVIEW: Two staff are really very warm, friendly, nice, and helpful. Great assets to keep. There were other staff who are not friendly, always avoiding eye contact with customers. I am charging that to bashfulness or maybe they were just having a bad day.

AMBIENCE: Very quiet. It has not achieved (i think) the same overflowing volume of customers Pinoy Pinay enjoyed for decades in this location. Maybe we just missed the rush hour, or maybe it's a weekend. Regardless, we enjoyed the quiet time.

OVERALL: TWO THUMBS UP. Hat's off to Titas of Manila for the 180' improvement,...

I’ve been coming to this place for over 10 years for their bistek, si sig, and caldareta when it used to be called pinoy pinay , but it’s not the same, we were greeted by this mean old lady , also I forgot to mention there was a freaking huge FLY inside the glass where the food was I didn’t even see it at first until my wife pointed it out,I’m almost 100% sure you’ll see a fly in there again lol

The price was fair the food tasted cold and old, over all the people back in the days were way nicer and humble than the old lady we encountered, Any ways for the lady that helped us just because you’re not happy with your life doesn’t mean you have to disrespect others just be kind its better that way

IT WAS ON 6/24 AROUND 4:50 pm OLDER WOMEN WOTH GLASSES I COUDNT REPLY TO YOUR REPLY SO HOPEFULLY YOU CAN SEE IT HERE , also I’m sorry I wrote a bad review after being a customer for all those years the lady just...
