We drove through town and were looking for a quick place to stop in and eat. This place had great reviews so we figured we would try it. We ordered the nacho supreme and a chicken burrito. The nacho supreme came with some sort of deep fried chips that were not crunchy but kind of mushy somehow. They were like pita chips fried in a low temperature which made them super oily and mushy like mushy fries or hashbrowns can sometimes be. The nachos came with oily ground beef, some refried beans, and nacho cheese sauce on top. If you want sour cream on it then that is extra. I am not sure what made it "supreme" since there was no lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole or any other usual things you might expect on a "supreme" something or another. The portion was also very minuscule for the price, which was $5.50+tax. The chicken burrito came with chicken and cheese inside. For $3.00 and the fact that the nacho supreme was terrible I was not expecting much but it was still very disappointing. I was expecting rice, beans, or maybe some veggies inside but it was pretty minimal. The food was all very very greasy and the prices were not that great. I have never gone to a sit-down Mexican restaurant and regretted not going to Taco Bell instead but there is always a first time for everything! :(
The first star I gave it in the 2-star review was for the cleanliness of the place, and the second star of the two was for the location being in a prime spot and easy to find. Other than those two things I just could not bring myself to give any more stars for anything! I really tried hard to try to think of more pros but they were just nonexistent. I wish I could say I want to cone back and give this place another try but I simply can't...
Read moreAfter a night of drinking at the bars with some locals they pointed me to a local favorite called Tasty Taco. I made my way there that same night and ordered the recommended chicken taco and steak taco with the flour tortilla as well as a side of Tasty Tots (tater tots with Johnny’s Seasoning). The total came out to under $10 after tax. Both the flour tacos came in the same deep-fried tortilla and topped pretty much the same lettuce, cheese, and bean. Very reminiscent of a Taco Bell chalupa of some sort. Both meats were delicious so you can’t really go wrong with either but the steak was my favorite out of the two. The steak contained meat that’s been cooked up and diced up into tinny bits similar to how the meat in Philly cheese steaks are made. They even tasted very similar to the Phillies because of the seasoning in the steak and mound of cheese they throw in these bad boys. As for the tater tots, nothing special about them (except for the Johnny’s Seasoning salt) but props for having Tater Tots in the first place. There’s also a lot of other side items like fried poppers, chicken, and mushrooms which I hope to try in my next couple of visits here. Also, make sure you get the extra hot sauce, it’s about 30 cents for 3 ounces (if you are getting it to go) that’s all you really going to need...

If you’re reading this, know that Tasty Taco is not just a restaurant—it’s a taco battleground. My buddy Jeff and I strolled in, full of confidence and empty stomachs, ready to demolish every taco on our large plates. We ordered like champions, eyes bigger than our appetites.
But alas, we were no match for the legendary “Taco Twos.” Somewhere between our 6th and 7th taco, the tables turned. Jeff waved his white napkin in surrender; I was conquered by a rogue burst of deliciously seasoned beef.
We want to publicly apologize to the staff and our fellow taco enthusiasts for not finishing every glorious taco we ordered. It’s a shame that will haunt us until our next visit. Please forgive us—WE WERE CONQUERED BY THE TWOS.
But here’s the thing: every single bite was worth it. Tasty Taco, your ingredients are so fresh and flavorful that even our defeat was delicious. We’ll be back, stomachs trained and ready, to reclaim our honor (and probably to order even more).
Thank you for the laughs, the tacos, and the memories. Next time, victory will be ours.
