The temperature in the store was uncomfortably warm (Outdoors temp was 85°) and forced our perusal of the store to be cut short. The bathrooms are relatively clean but lack periodic attention during business hours to ensure all stalls have toilet paper, and that the hand soap and paper towel dispensers are not empty. (Visited the store two days in a row [12 hours apart] and with the same stall out of toilet paper both times). This store seems much smaller with narrower aisles making navigation through the store with a cart more difficult when there are more customers. Regarding the store offerings regarding clothing, if you are a female who wears junior sizes 3-11 (XS-L) or misses sizes 4-12 (XS-L), or a male who has a shirt size S-L, pant size 28 - 34 and an inseam no longer than 34 ", they have more than enough inventory available in most types of clothing (i.e. shirts, pants, dresses, etc) that you should be able to find what you are looking for. However, if you are a junior size 13 or above (XL), a misses size 12 or above (XL), a plus size woman, a woman whose shoe size is 9 or larger, a man over the age of 40 (clothing seems geared toward younger graphic t-shirt high school/college lifestyle), a man who wears size XL, wears a pant size 36 or larger or has an inseam 36" or longer, or big and tall sizes, don't waste your time and save yourself the aggravation and disappointment. The discounted or clearance clothing items are usually sparse with remaining items being small sizes or severely out-of-date fashions. The baby/children's area is more geared toward baby needs, nursery decor accessories, and baby and children's books and toys rather than clothing. They usually have an adequate inventory of intimate apparel, handbags, jewelry, health and beauty products, men's undergarments and accessories, pet needs (beds, toys, snacks, limited health and care products), gourmet snacks, and food, mobile accessories (iPhone with a few Android options) (phone cases, screen covers, airpod cases, wired and wireless headphones, earbuds, speakers, charging cables/docks, wireless charging stations, car mounts, and lighting), and housewares and decor (kitchen, bath, bedroom, organizational and seasonal/holiday) that you'll find something you want or need. Watch and compare prices of items in clearance areas that have pieces missing or are damaged to ones that are not, as I have found items that were damaged and marked as though the marked price was discounted from the original price and at checkout rang up at the original price with no discount given. The health and beauty area always seems to be in disarray, as does the gourmet snacks/foods, housewares, and home...
Read moreTonight while shopping with my two and a half year old I was confronted by worker Oxana as my daughter was walking around with a broken light saber toy. My daughter was not being destructive, and this toy was broken when she picked it up. She had picked out a toy for being well behaved and that is what she chose. she was walking around with it next to me, as I shopped, Oxana confronted me standing uncomfortably close to my daughter and asked if I was buying the toy in my daughters hands. When I told her maybe, she proceeded to tell me “this is not a toy store and she cannot play with that unless you will buy it”. She then became extremely rude and confrontational telling me “no, you don’t understand she cannot play with this toy she is breaking it”. This worker was horrible to us and to my daughter. She took the toy out of my daughters hands which almost caused a melt down because my two year old had no idea what she had done to upset this lady. It was a $7 toy. TJ Maxx you lost my business over a $7 BROKEN toy that you never should have been trying to sell in the first place. The employee needs spoken to about how she treats guests...
Read moreDisgusting service. I came here with my girlfriend on June 9, 2024 at noon. My girlfriend and I made it to the register and the cashier refused to speak to us. She was not helpful and gave us dirty looks. Another employee stepped in and was immediately defensive. I noticed both women had the word coordinator on their name tags. The second woman overtook the conversation, was condescending, and had bad manners. She repeatedly asked me if my partner wanted a TJMaxx Card after I told her no twice. I became irritated, but I took a breath before responding. I calmly and firmly told her “No, she does not need a card. I’m the one making the purchase.” I understand that every employee has to ask this, but this woman’s behavior was unacceptable. I have always had good experiences at this store, but these two women gave a poor representation of themselves, this store and this company. Regardless of one’s beliefs, the treatment my girlfriend and I received was appalling. I am disgusted, angered and heartbroken after...
