ALDI — Local services in West Des Moines

I was heading to Walmart, when I saw Aldi's, so decided to give it a try. I started shopping, noticed they had frig items covered with blind things. A gal came up to me, asked me if I needed any help. I said are you getting ready to close? She said, we close @ 8p. I said, O im so sorry, I didn't know. She smiled, said, That's all right. Can I help you find anything? I told her I never had been here. So she helped me find everything on my list!! Told me all about the store, showed me some of the new stuff. It was AWESOME!! I can't remember her name, but she was the asistant manager, so friendly & helpful! Never once complained about me being there late. Aldi, you better keep her & give her a raise!! I was able to get most everything I needed! The checkout gal was nice too! AND I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE ACTUAL PEOPLE , NOT SELF CHECKOUTS, I HATE THOSE!!! Still had to go to wally world, but, they didn't get as much of my money as planned. I will definitely...

I will not return to this location for a variety of reasons. This store the shelves are always bare.. the store either has to many customers ( that shouldn't be a problem ).. they don't get enough products ordered to stock the shelves, they don't have the staff to handle the business, or the staff is not managed or trained correctly. It doesn't matter what day or what time of day, the shelves are pretty bare, and I end up going over to Walmart for the items I couldn't get, like MEAT. The staff always seem to have their loaders right in front of the produce, and rude customers. I have shopped aldi's for years in many states, and I have to say that this ALDI'S is the WORST Aldi's ever. Carrollton, TX is WAY bigger than this city, and they never had these issues. I'd give this store zero stars. Store shelves consistently bare, customer service is worthless, and it doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day its the same lousy experience. I have been a long time Aldi's customer, and this bar none is the worst store I've ever had to shop in. I have shopped in Wisconsin, Missouri, Colorado, and Texas, and this store is by far the worst managed, run and less stocked store I've ever been in.

The store is very small so there is not room for the volume of customers its has, and with employees trying to stock with their pallet jacks at mid afternoon is just terrible timing. I will not recommend, and will drive to a much farther location as they all can't be this terrible. This store is consistently out of basics, like milk, juice, eggs and meat.
