Went here close to closing time. Didnt get a welcome in or anything. I asked what what good on the menu right now since they were cleaning up a bunch of things and the guy just said it was all good. I got a chamaco burrito which is shredded beef and beans with rice and cheese. No cheese was on my burrito. My wife ordered two chicken tacos 🌮 and her stomach was wrecked 😩 which rarely happens anywhere for her. Chicken was cold as well on tacos. We did like the flavor of the tortilla chips they gave us with the order and flavor of the sauces included in little dishes to go. The red sauce had no spice though and was very chunky so hard to get it out of the little container. Was also stange that they had a churro on a huge plate with sauce (like caramel) on it in front by register but no option to purchase one. This churro on oversized plate had saran wrap over it as well and was strange. Over all atmosphere inside was nice with vibrant colors and it seemed very clean. Prices were high as well we felt for the content

Randomly drove by and saw the tacos sign so I decided to stop. Loved all four of their salsa/hot sauces; they seemed appropriately marked for the level of heat and surprisingly I really enjoyed all four of them. I tried the Carne Asada, Pastor pork, and shrimp tacos. The marinated pork was by far my favorite; I’ve never eaten a taco that I did not need to add some kind of sauce at you and this one was amazing!! The mango on top with the smoky marinade is the stuff dreams are made of. The shrimp taco had some kind of crispy grilled cheese on it and it was also really really good. The Carne Asada was good too but not as surprising as the other two. They gave me chips while I was waiting which was a nice touch. Excited to go back.

Easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in UT. We were the only ones there and it took over 35 minutes to get the food. When we opened it up at home 50% of the meals were wrong. Even the correct meal had more fat and tendon than meat. The fountain drink machine was broken so my boys couldn’t even get water. The location is cool and the people were nice but everything else was horrible. Other El Mexiquense locations have been great, but this one is horribly run.

My experience was not good, I ordered the Chili Verde Al pastor to go, after arriving home, started to eat but the dish was too hot for me so I called restaurant and asked if I could get a different plate, also offered to return the dish, the man that I spoke with replied no because we just throw it away. Upon returning to restaurant my problem with the employees is they claim they do not speak English! I had to ask a female customer to translate for me, they claimed that I never spoke with anyone from their restaurant, I replied that I called the phone number that was on their receipt! Anyway I then ordered the Plato de pollo which is simply chicken drumsticks with rice and beans, when they brought my order to the counter and showed it to me, it was not chicken drumsticks it was shreds of chicken, they didn't bother to give me tortillas. POOR Customer Service! If this restaurant chain wants to stay in business they need to hire people that speak English! Needless to say I will never patronize then again.! One last comment, their prices are...

My boyfriend and I were looking forward to having a great meal since the last time we were here it was amazing. This time, it was terrible. Only two people working tonight. I felt bad for them. I know they were trying their best. We ordered 6 carne asada tacos. The guy who took our order said they were out of that. So our second option was 3 Carnitas and 1 Birria, 1 carnitas and 1 el pastor. Usually, we would get chips and salsa while we waited but no chips. After waited 40 minutes for our food. When the server came over with half our food, he said he was out of carnitas. Our server didn’t even offer to give us a refund, we had to ask for it. This was hands down one of the worst experiences we had. We were not expecting this. When I asked my boyfriend how the food was, he was disappointed. It was a Saturday night, they were short staffed and they were trying to do their best, I’ll give them that. But if they don’t have anything to offer their customers, they need to close...
