I recently visited Chopfuku and had a great overall experience. I ordered the Sashimi Tasting, Bento with Rib, Dragon Fry Roll, and the Best of the Best Roll.
The Sashimi Tasting was absolutely the highlight of the meal. The quality of the fish was top-notch—fresh, buttery, and beautifully presented. It really impressed me and is definitely something I’d come back for. The rib in the bento was also excellent—very tender and flavorful.
As for the rolls, I had high hopes for the Dragon Fry Roll and Best of the Best Roll, but personally, I found them a bit bland compared to the rest of the dishes. They weren’t bad by any means, just not as bold in flavor as I expected. That said, presentation of the Best of the Best roll was excellent. It came with wood smoke!
One of the surprising parts of the experience was the interior design. From the outside, the place looks pretty unassuming, but the moment you step inside, it feels like a completely different world. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and slightly upscale without being intimidating. It’s a great place for both casual dinners and special nights out.
Service was also very good—friendly staff, prompt attention, and overall a smooth...

Had bento Teriyaki chicken breast is spot on. Beef satai was out of this world. The madai and kinmidai are now one of my favorites, maybe more than maguro...maybe.
This is top tier sushi in Utah. The quality of the sashimi is the best I have had in years. All 3 sashimi chefs choice of maguro, escolar, and salmon were delicious and clean tasting. I wasn't used to having basil with salmon, it works and it works very well. The maguro is the best quality I've ever seen or had in Utah. Period. Escolar was firm and not overly fatty like other places where it tends to be floppy and sad.
The roll I had was a simple Philly with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Yum 😋
Presentation is something I don't usually bring up suffice to say they do it better than any sushi establishment I've eaten at in Salt Lake County.
The establishments decor is warm and welcoming with a friendly staff and surprisingly fast turnaround time from order to service.
I'm very excited to come back and try more rolls and specials like the Toro and Uni.
I also rarely give 5 stars so I really hope this place can keep it up, because you're now my new favorite sushi...
Read moreI would say a 3.75 and I believe you should try this place. We could of ordered the wrong things.
The atmosphere is really cool there is a lot of wood and it has a modern and classy rich people feel.
The service was fine we did get asked 6 times if we were doing okay you decide how you feel about that.
As for the food we had the blue fin roll and the UK because they seemed unique. We also had the salmon belly and a shashimi combo.
Food The fish on the rolls were paper thin... like in an impressive way. I don't know how you can cut fish that thin without it ripping. The rolls also had way too much rice probably around 80% rice 3% fish on top and then the rest was the filler fish or crab/tempura.
The sashimi was good portions and tasted good so I would suggest ordering something like that.
The salmon belly appetizer did not taste like salmon belly it tasted more like normal salmon it wasn't that melting in your mouth like salmon belly should be.
The salad and its dressing were good.
Price As for price 2 rolls 1 appetizer and 1 sashimi combo was 95$ if they did half the rice or thicker fish on top I would say it...
