Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in West Lafayette

The slowest restaurant on the entire campus. I went at 2PM on an afternoon and my hot sandwich took OVER AN HOUR to make. This isn’t an exaggeration, it literally took over an hour to make a sandwich. I don’t believe they were even backed up, because hot sandwiches were only being given to customers approximately every 25 minutes. I’ve never seen a Jersey Mike’s with this problem before. I’m not sure I’ve ever waited more than 15 minutes at another Jersey Mike’s. It takes 90 seconds to grill a cheesesteak according to employees online. An hour just points to incompetence in the way employees have been trained. I’m not sure I ever left a review before, but the service was so poor that I felt it was worth...

I woke up with the musty Purdue smell I always wake up to and decided I wanted jersey mikes for lunch. I walked in there for a sandwich on the fine average Purdue cloudy day and order something. I think it was the number 13. The worker says “god damn” and mumbled some other heinous stuff. Workers were casually cursing in front of customers and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I’ve worked fast food before and I know it can suck, but there was no cursing tolerated where I worked. I feel sorry for the owner because he is paying these workers to disrespect customers. After waiting in line for this store to open, I see signage go up around the store just moments before 5 p.m. that only cold subs are to be served due to staffing shortages.

I get it, everyone is short staffed these days, but if I had known that the menu was a fraction of what they normally offered (and what I really wanted), I would have gone elsewhere for a hot meal.
