Overall not impressed. Pros: they almost meet you at the table with chips and salsa, good flavor food with much potential, pretty good salsa, food came really quick
Cons: food came really quick, if I order queso for the chips, I probably want to have more than 7 minutes to enjoy them. I also felt a little rushed while ordering as the guy demanded our menus while I was still looking at it. If I'm still holding it open and staring at it, the first item I tell you may not be the only thing I want to try. Well today it had to be. I ended up being glad because the queso came out with the drinks and already had a pretty thick cold skin on top. It wasn't hot at all and quickly had such a thick gel you couldn't dip the room temperature chips without breaking them. The salsa was pretty good, but I did NOT enjoy having to break them into pieces to dip them in the tiny shot glass cup you get. There's no way to get a full bite unless you pour the salsa onto the chip from the tiny cup. I somewhat expected to have to blow on the first few bites to start eating, since it came out so quick, but alas, I was very wrong. Every part of the entree that should have been HOT just barely felt warm to taste, and just slightly above 98.6 degrees is really not what I prefer to enjoy nor want to pay for as a pleasant experience. It seemed like I was at KFC and they just had food premade waiting for someone to order it. If you still decide to patronize this business I suggest you bring a thermometer to be sure your food has reached 165 degrees around the time you received it so you know bacteria hasn't been growing on it while sitting somewhere...
Read moreWe will never eat here again. If I could give half a star or no star, I would. The food was disappointing. The queso was tasteless and had unidentifiable things we assumed were some sort of vegetable. For $9.99 a bowl, this should've been much better. We didn't even eat it. One daughter's beans were packed with bits of onion. One daughter's beans had none. The fajita steak in one of our burritos had an oddly chewy center, and there was a three-inch piece of either very hard fat or soft bone. Two of our orders were completely wrong and took a long time to be corrected. My husband ordered a side of guacamole that didn't arrive until about 15 minutes into the meal. We ordered two orders of flour tortillas and received one (which arrived after our food was already there). We were there an hour and a half for all this nonsense, and the bill was way too high for this level of tastelessness. They think far too highly of themselves to be charging these prices for such less-than-average food and subpar service. If the waitress had seemed to be trying or at least friendly, it would have helped. Sadly, no. Come on, West Monroe. We...

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from classic tacos and enchiladas to more unique options like the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The guacamole is a must-try, and the salsa has just the right amount of spice.
The service was top-notch as well. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and the manager stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very inviting and comfortable, making it the perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends or a family outing.
Overall, I highly recommend Don Chuy to anyone looking for delicious Mexican food and excellent service in West Monroe. I can't wait to come back and try...
