The owner is nice and seems to be a Godly gentleman.

I say this as a person who wants this place to succeed! I have no personal feelings but honestly...

My travel to Monroe for a wedding my wife and I wanted BBQ not Podnahs...so we Googled this place 4.7 reviews!!! LET'S GO!!!

Day 1 (yes we went twice...wait 4 it) we ordered the pulled pork and brisket...WHY? Because they couldn't serve other items like chicken...YES Chicken (fryer broken)...now in their defense it was after 5 and they do have a "we're out" or "can't serve" board. We were disappointed we couldn't try the Famous Brussel Sprout dish and the owner came to our table and apologized. Assured us if we came back tomorrow come Heck or High Water he'd have a fryer and we'd get to try his " oh so proud of dish" the Famous Brussels...

Day 2: we come back...and this is where it gets good: A. Fryer down...no Brussels AND no crispy chicken AND NO FRIES....LAUGHABLE RIGHT! B. We're disappointed but hey the owner was nice enough so let's stay. The owner wasn't there so the cat was away...the mice will play....the current manager head stayed glued to his cell phone...they ran out of clean utensils but the server said he'd bring us some...yes this is AFTER HE'D ALREADY BROUGHT OUR FOOD...WTF....by the way he never came back so I had to go to the take-out area and ask for plastic. Somebody finally got around to refill the utensils after we finished eating. Where was the management...on his phone of course! Important texts and all. Anyone who reads this...if you drink Blue Moon...it's supposed to have an orange...trust me...beer snobs whatever lol...but guess what ...I'm sorry we don't have any. Lol the manager told 1 customer they didn't even have any Blue Moon, cashier checked...

Overpriced...over seasoned BLACK Pepper on EVERY MEAT HEAVILY....and honestly I really hope they change and succeed. Today is March 14th. The reviews I'm not sure when and where they came from but this one is Current. Good luck to the owner...you're overstaffed and costing yourself money. Over 30 years Food Service experience helping...

We are on vacation and did a little research on all the places we were going to dine at while on our little trip. First reason in choosing this place is because it's spelt just like our sons name. Which is unusual. But our 7 year old was super pumped about eating here. When we pulled up the parking was almost packed full. It was 11:30 and the building was packed.... on a Tuesday... for lunch! In my opinion, that is a sign the food is about to be YUM. Walking up to the front door there is a big open patio with plenty seating and is all covered. When u walk into the door the aroma was mouth watering. There was a very small line to place your order in. The young lady taking orders was SO sweet! I get anxious ordering at new places but she walked me through the menu and was super patient. My son explained to her that his name is JAC and that he was so excited to eat here. She gave him big smiles and shared the joy with him. We got our drinks and sat down inside with our number. We had maybe been seated for 5 minutes and a young man brought out our food also with a smile on his face. Everyone at our table got something different and it was ALL delicious!!! They have their own signature sauces at the table. One sweet and one spicy. Both so good! I got the Jac'd up sandwich and all the flavors complimented each other so well. The french fries... literally the best ive ever had. Being from Texas, I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit of a BBQ snob. Lol But this was amazing. I spoke with the manager for a few minutes and was so friendly. All the staff was honestly. The entire place was so clean. From the drink station, to the tables and even the bathroom. Thank you Jac's for the amazing lunch. Now we just need you to open up shop in North Texas. As close to Denton as...

Finally, a new shining star of BBQ heaven in West Monroe! Visited here for the first time today, and was thoroughly pleased.

For starters, the customer service here feels very personal, but also still extremely professional. We were never left wanting for service at any time, and were always checked on to make sure that we had everything we needed.

The interior of this place is beautiful! Seriously, just look at the pics. The decor pays homage to "old" Monroe/West Monroe/Cottonport, with a touch of modern flair. It gives the impression of those old time country stores but with an industrial coffee house kind of vibe.

In regards to the food....well if I had eaten anymore, I would have probably had to have my wife call Plunk's to come tow me out of here. We are no strangers to smoked meats / BBQ and actually have multiple smokers (including a UDS) and use them quite often. It's very nice to find a place here locally that actually impresses us, and this restaurant does just that.

The brisket served here has a great smoke ring, perfect bark, and is absolutely juicy. The brisket nachos are also a must-try, and if you are super hungry, brave, or need a LARGE app to share with the family, be sure to get the FULL order. It's a biggun'. You can also customize the nachos with a selection of meat (brisket or pulled pork) as well as sweet (or spicy) BBQ sauce drizzle, and cheese.

For sides, I believe the shining star on this trip would be the Mac n' Cheese. It has a milder bite to it than others I have tried which have typically used sharp cheddar and gouda with a Bechamel sauce, but it does have a nice bit of smokiness to it.

Overall, we very much look forward to coming back and trying other items...

It was my husband and I first time in a few nights ago we came in excited to try some good bbq as we have heard nothing but good things. We ordered Togo but went inside to check it out and pick up. The first thing we noticed was the lack of customer service the girl at the first desk seemed to hate being there and she didn’t once speak or smile at us and when we did ask or talk to her she pointed to a different counter saying we pick up there like we were bothering her. We get to the next counter to be told they don’t have what we ordered for the Cuban which was the only reason we even came it’s hard to find a good Cuban around! We adjusted our order and went on about our business waiting. Finally we were called to get our food handed our food as she was talking to another employee and that was that. No have a great night or anything. The brisket was really good so it did make up for the lack of customer service and we are hoping it was just a bad day/night and they were off. We will try again because the food was good. The portions are a little small to be a bbq place and ordering on Texas toast you expect a big sandwhich but again it was good so it made up for it. When you go in somewhere you want to feel welcomed! Customer service is what drives your people back not just the good food!
