If this were my chain, I'd fire the sorry excuse for a "manager" on the spot.
I called around 11:15am on Thursday 1/13, chose option '4' to speak with a manager to place an order ahead of time for pickup at 4:00pm (you are unable to do this through the app, and figured it'd be pretty simple to just setup over the phone). --- Really simple order too I thought, for my 5 year old daughters birthday dinner tonight; two orders of 30x nuggets, six large orders of fries, and a couple of the 8oz dipping sauces.
The 'manager' said, "just order when you get here, and we'll make it for you"... When I proceeded to tell him that I was calling now to order in advance to eliminate having to wait while I am there, and would like to just have things ready, pickup and pay at 4:00 when I pickup, he proceeded to very rudely reply with "WHATEVER".
Like, my man... if there is some other option, just explain it to me (don't reply with 'whatever')! I am on a time schedule, I don't want to order when I get there and wait (not sure how many of you have seen the zoo chick-fil-a is pretty much at all times). I simply wanted to order ahead, and have things ready for a scheduled carry-out time.
Just find it funny how this restaurant particularly "prides" themselves on manners and courtesy, and this is the time of BS you have to deal with when you give them a simple call. We'll go the frozen/bagged nuggets and fries in the air-fryer route this evening for the birthday (thanks Chick-fil-A!)... This location has lost...
Read moreChick-fil-A, the pinnacle of what fast food aspires to be. I've been to this Chick-fil-A a few times now, most recently being my trip on November 15th.
For this trip, I made a mobile order on the app to pick it up via drive thru. Ordered my standard spicy chicken sandwich, large fries, and a large sweet tea.
Made my way on over to the restaurant. Greeted the ever so friendly Chick-fil-A staff, and I continued my way down the drive through. I received my food and drink after waiting a minute, and then I began my trek home!
Upon entering my home and settling down and preparing for my feast, I stuck my straw into my drink and took a sip. Lo and behold, it was not sweet tea! It was UNsweetened tea. Now you might wonder what the big deal is, but as someone from the great southern state of Georgia, we take pride in our sweet tea. So expecting some sweet o' sugary goodness and instead being greeted with an absence of flavor was a big let down. Aside from that, the spicy chicken sandwich and fries were standard like usual.
I did leave feedback that I received the wrong drink, and the restaurant was quick to resolve it and then some. I don't think this is something to ding them on as we all make mistakes, and it is probably easy to mix up. They were quick to fix it, and I still would recommend...
Read moreWe ordered our meals on the app ahead of time. My payment went through and was approved. When we arrived, they asked if we wanted to add anything and my sister asked to add a cheese sauce and a Polynesian sauce. We gave the man her card and he said it went through. We pulled up to the window and the man tells us that our last transaction in the drive thru didn’t go through, so we would need to pay again. We were then charged for everything again on my sister’s card, instead of just the extra sauces. When we asked the man about it he said it was just a system error. Somehow I was charged for the meal on my card and my sister was charged too. Then when we drove away, I went to take a sip from my drink and my cup had a gaping hole in the bottom, spilling a large root beer all over my sister. Not to mention, our fries were half full and all crumbs, and my sisters sandwich was completely burnt and had pickles on it when we had requested it without. The cheese sauce that was the cause for it all, ended up only being a third full. All in all a...
