Napoleon Bakery — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

Did you think that cute little bakery you pass by all of the time was just a bakery? So did I! And you never stopped in because, afterall, bakery items are a want; not a need? ME, TOO! This is how I found out Napaloen is a kickin' bakery and so much more...our friends picked us up to take us to brunch. We didn't know where we were going but we trust them with our taste buds. So we park next to this quaint little hot pink bldg. on Dixie, just south of Forest Hill. I see we are going to this cute little bakery for brunch and my 1st thought was, " I guess I can blow my diet for a Napoleon, maybe a chocolate croissant, for brunch". Once I got into the door of this little (it IS little, only about 3 tables with chairs and benches, outdoor, and sidewalk seating for a few more seats) I could see they were so much more than a bakery. They have delicious sandwiches, tapas, paella, frittatas, homemade pizzas, pastas, homemade chorizo, beers, wines, cheeses and everything you would expect to find in a deli. All with a Basque flair. The original owners are from that region and the food, decor, and personality reflect that. Once inside this fairytale shop time forgot, you will be transported to another place and time and you will be family. So the next time you are passing by you must stop in. Take cash and be patient in case other patrons got there before you. Stay and have a meal or take something(s) to go. Also, call 1st to make sure they are open. They have new summer hours and closed Monday and Tuesday, I think and only stay open to 6. Double check and tell Yan I sent you. Get ready to be hugged and then get ready to be WOWed! Oh, it's worth a footnote to tell you they made my mom's wedding cake over 25 yrs. ago! And my last tip: try a tart, Napolean, creme brulee, paella with an egg cracked on top! Terrible. These people are so unprofessional and rude. They literally told us to get out and never come back. First of all, it took me over a week to try to place a order for cake. Most of them do not speak English, so I had to wait to place an order with the owners son. After placing the order for cake and showing him exactly what I want and being promised it will be the same he made it look completely opposite and on top of it to make money, added cupcakes to my order which I never asked. The guy started yelling at my friend and I saying he worked so hard on the cake and will get in “trouble” by his mom? Really? He was panicking since he knew he done the job wrong. I was willing to take the cake still since the event was in two hours, but his mom came and yelled at my friend and I saying they don’t need us to take the cake they will feed the cake to the poor and we need to get out of there right now and never come back. I have never experienced such horrible customer service, Yelling at their customers and being so disrespectful. The mom and her son at first after showing the cake and yelling went inside and wouldn’t even come out with the cake again and then came out and just yelled even though without much complaints I was willing to take the cake. Never going to this place again, very unreliable. I had to arrange a cake elsewhere for my friends bridal shower within an hour, fortunately Publix is amazing and made a beautiful cake for me...

OMGosh yum .. ! Hole-in-the-wall bakery that I Love .. !! Napoleons are yummy .. the Apple tarts to Die for .. !! Cant say enough about the choices, flavors, and (carbs !!) lol Treats .. Try it youll be addicted like me and will hav to go back a few times (and like me, hav to wean yourself off for awhile hah) but they run out of my favorites sometimes so I hav to call ahead of time if Im going that far just to get my vanilla Napoleons since it is a bit of a schlep south for me (Im by the Gardens) .. besides home-made bakery goodies they also hav different deli meats, freshly made daily lunches/specials and even bottles of wine .. but I go for the meringue vanilla Napoleons .. every time . They hav other flavor (choc, caramel, dulce, etc) Napoleons, however the vanilla meringue is like frosting to me .. soo Delicious .. ! Lastly I will tell you this place is conveniently located just North of Forest Hill Blvd on Dixie Hwy (West Palm Beach) . 5...
