I typically eat here several times a month. Either in person, or I order through DoorDash. The food is delicious, I will give it that however, because I do order from here all the time I have noticed an exponential difference in the amount of chips that you are given. I thought this was because of the size of the chips and salsa I was ordering. Since I was ordering dinner for my family tonight I ordered a large chips and salsa. When it was delivered through DoorDash I had 1/2. A small bag of chips with a giant container of salsa. The salsa is delicious, don't get me wrong but there's no way you could eat all that salsa with the tiny amount of chips that were given. This wasn't a Doordash issue so I called the restaurant directly. When the female answer the phone I knew exactly who it was because she's helped us when we've dined in several times. I explained the situation about the size of the chips and she says it's based on the size of the salsa not the size of the chips, that always stays the same. I said well I've noticed that it's exponentially smaller and how could you conceivably eat all that salsa with half a bag of chips and she hung up on me. I wasn't being particularly rude or anything I literally paid $12 for the chips and salsa only to have half of a small bag of chips delivered. So I called back several times and she was obviously avoiding me when finally some guy answered kept me on hold for 5 minutes went to manager who identified herself as Ashley answered. I told her that the female who answered originally hung up on me and her immediate response was to defend her and say oh it was probably an accident. I said no it wasn't an accident she was obviously annoyed, I know this female from visits in person to the restaurant as I come in quite often as well as order on DoorDash regularly. Then she went on to blame the Dasher saying that oftentimes Dasher steal food. I said that's not fair to blame the dasher because clearly all of the food was intact when it arrived and it didn't seem to be tampered with at all. Then on the third try she said that they don't feel the bags all the way on the to go orders. There you have it, the real reason. I got hung up on and lied to and had responsibility diverted in every direction before it was finally admitted to that they don't fill the bags all the way. Ashley proceeded to tell me that if I want more chips I should just order an extra bag of chips. I noted that perhaps they should change their menu options on the apps to identify the size of the salsa and not weigh the customers to believe they're getting a bigger bag OR fill the bag of chips we pay for at a minimum. (See pic for reference). I'm not some Karen just saying I want to speak to the manager, I genuinely wanted to know what I was doing wrong in ordering and why I kept getting smaller and smaller amounts of chips every time I ordered through DoorDash. While I find the food to be delicious, obviously with the amount of times I order and visit this restaurant, I don't think it should come at a cost of good customer service. I'm just very disappointed in the entire experience, it's turned me off to order here again...
Read moreWoah!!! Sorry this will be long!! If you’re looking for a place that serves top-notch quality food with incredible freshness, look no further than Rivales. I’ve had the pleasure of dining here multiple times, and each visit has left me absolutely astounded by the exceptional culinary offerings they provide.
As a vegetarian, I often find it challenging to find restaurants that cater to my dietary preferences while also accommodating my meat-eating partner. However, Rivales has struck the perfect balance with an extensive menu that boasts an impressive array of options for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The selection is not just plentiful; the flavors are simply out of this world! It was insane how good the food was, making it a fantastic dining experience for both of us.
The atmosphere is equally inviting—warm, welcoming, and vibrant, enhancing the entire experience. The hospitality is truly outstanding. I've encountered many establishments that pride themselves on their service, but the team at Rivales goes above and beyond. Michael and Jake, the bartenders, deserve special mention; they are some of the best I’ve met since moving to West Palm. Their mixology skills are phenomenal, and their friendly demeanor makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another patron.
What added a personal touch to my experiences was the kindness of the owner, whom is named Jimmy. After just my second visit, he recognized me, which is a testament to the genuine hospitality offered here. It’s evident that the staff and management truly care about creating a welcoming ambiance for everyone.
All in all, Rivales has quickly become one of my favorite spots. If you’re in the area and looking for fantastic food, outstanding service, and a lively atmosphere, I highly recommend you pay them a visit. Thanks, Rivales, for consistently impressing...
Read moreTo start, great, great food is definitely an interesting take on traditional Mexican food with a bunch of flavor in each meal. I would definitely recommend the octopus and the Chile relleno for sure and tortillas on the side highly recommended , the octopus was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and cooked perfect on the inside amazing along with the chorizo, potatoes, and the amazing sauce accompanying it can't go wrong. The service was ok. Our server was nice and helpful, but the main entrees took over an hour, which is way too long. Although we were a party of 8, it's still a pretty ridiculous wait time. Another criticism I have is the actual restaurant no AC with the bar not even outside so it's just has no AC for no reason I would understand if the bar was was an outside bar that's also connected to the restaurant. I understand this concept anywhere that's not humid and more of a dry heat, but we're in South Florida a very humid place so we were in there sweating and it was pretty uncomfortable being sticky while your eating they do have fans but that doesn't do the trick. Overall, amazing food, but they need to work on a couple of things that would improve the restaurant and help it reach it's full potential. I am still highly recommending it and will...
