Where do I even begin?
TLDR: Clean & pristine up-to-date rooms Free shuttle service around downtown AMAZING and understanding staff that go above and beyond rooftop pool & jacuzzi solo & family friendly free bike rentals omg
From entry to exit, I was engulfed in the utmost phenomenal hospitality here. I have stayed at canopy's location in philly before and should have initially booked my WPB stay with canopy. I had a nightmare of a day prior to coming to canopy at one of their competitor's hotels. Frantic to get out of that other hotel-- I called up canopy inquiring about a stay. I was met with Brianna on the phone and she assured me that she would gladly like to host me here at canopy and make my WPB stay as smooth as possible.
I arrived at around 10am (breaking a sweat-- mind you lol) luggage and all. I struggle a lot with social anxiety and built up the guts to ask Brianna if there was any possible way that I could check in earlier as I had already wasted a day of my short-lived trip in WPB and since there was availability I was able to access my room earlier than 2pm! Brianna went in to great detail about all of the amenities that the hotel had to offer including complimentary access to an event that was being held on their rooftop (reggae night).
The room was amazing, rooms at canopy are always so modern and unique. They are fully stocked with everything that you could need to feel clean and comfortable; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, hand soap. I immediately received a text from Santiago checking up on me and if I was happy with the room (ps I was very happy). Bath robes are also available, which I requested via text (an introvert's dream: texting). THEY ALSO HAVE NUGGET ICE MACHINES (the only acceptable form of ice) ON EVERY FLOOR.
Every time you leave and enter the hotel; you are ALWAYS greeted or sent off with a "have fun" or "welcome back"-- how personable. Canopy is known for really immersing themselves with the culture within a local town or city and may I say that I love the interior design and little souvenirs that are up for sale that represent the palm beaches.
Great mocktails and ambiance at Treehouse-- live band was so good! Loved the truffle and lobster mac from Banter and the live singer sung like an angel.
I had pricked my finger and forgot to pack my mini first aid kit with me. I ran downstairs and asked Dylan if they had any band-aids. Dakota then grabbed us the first-aid kit and gave me both a disinfecting alcohol pad and band-aid. I started telling them about the unfortunate sequence of events that had happened when I first arrived to WPB (none relevant to my stay at canopy) and they were not only eager to lend an ear but to also recommend an array of restaurants and activities to fill the rest of my time with. Steve, a fellow New-Yorker, that worked the front desk with Dylan and Dakota made sure to ALWAYS check on me when I was in the lobby. For example, if a dish at one of their restaurants didn't meet the quality that was advertised-- he made sure to address it. I don't drink alcohol, but the three of them sent a charcuterie board to my room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS BIGGER THAN MY HEAD???????
My flight back to NYC got delayed and the morning I was supposed to check out, Seth (also a fellow new-yorker) reassured me that I would still be able to fill up my time with any of the amenities that the hotel had to offer.
I could sit here and type forever about my short stay here at Canopy WPB-- all I'm going to say is this will most DEFINITELY NOT be my...
Read moreIf I could give my experience at this hotel zero stars I would. Not for the location or cleanliness of rooms, but the total lack of customer service provided by this hotel while celebrating my special occasion. My maid of honor and I were there June 20th to spend one night in town to be close to a venue for my pre-wedding event. We arrived at the hotel around 3:30pm and understood check in wasn’t until 4pm so waited by grabbing a meal and drink at the upstairs pool bar while front desk held our bags. (I do not drink and was disappointed by the bar’s lack of non alcoholic options.) We returned to the front desk at 4:15pm when we didn’t receive any update via text as promised about our room. Front desk staff were joking around with each other being unprofessional and not acknowledging us as we stood there waiting until 4:30pm while they checked the computer on why our room wasn’t ready. They could not give us a reason or any sort of apology on the matter and told us they would have to wait for a call from someone in another 15 minutes to know if it would even be ready. We were sent to a locker room for me to shower/dress for one of the most special days of my life until 5:30pm rolls around and we still received NO UPDATE on our room. My maid of honor goes down to desk once more before we have to leave for venue and staff says in surprise, “oh yes it’s ready now.” We have just enough time to drop off bags and groceries (now gone bad) before having to leave on time to get to scheduled event. We return to room after event and the light fixture in bedroom does not work. The next morning, who we assume is housekeeping walks into our room without knocking/announcing at 8am and then shuts the door after we say “there’s someone in here” as my friend is about to step into shower. We didn’t even want to use the amenities such as the pool the next morning because I honestly could not wait to leave this awful establishment. No courtesy or willingness to show customer care, service, or resolve regarding our stay and the horrible experience we had. I feel terrible that we wasted money booking this unprofessional hotel we never got to enjoy during such an important event. I’ve had better experiences at motels. The mockery and lack of communication of staff at front desk was off putting and I would never recommend this place to anyone for the stress, unsafe conditions and feelings they gave us as two traveling adult women and complete disregard we were treated...
Read moreSome friends and I had plans to spend a few days in Palm Beach. I was tasked with finding a hotel. I opted for this hotel based on the fact that it opened in 2019. I prefer to pick the newest hotel wherever I go.
We arrived to the hotel much earlier than the noted check-in time. I had already requested an early check- in on the app and they had no problem accommodating us early. I would highly suggest using the Hilton app to book all of your stays. It can have its perks. After checking in and being given a bag with a few bottles of water we headed to our room.
The elevators do require that you scan your key card then select your floor. I really like this feature at hotels. It gives me an extra sense of security. When we entered our room I noted that it was cute and comfy. I love the feature of the barn doors, the dimmed lighting on the bed, and of course the Nespresso machine in the room! Things that can use improvement: mattress is too soft for me( I prefer firm beds), limited storage in the bathroom, not sure how the lights actually work, even after staying for 4 days, and we were not able to control the temperature in our room. Maintenance had to come to our room to increase the temperature. I still don't know what he did to get it to work correctly. Last, for this to be a new hotel, there were several damaged things in our room. For example paint was off the wall in the bathroom. Fixing this would be simple, yet they have chosen to ignore it.
Regarding service: Every employee was nice and made sure to address any questions or concerns quickly. I would suggest that the check- in staff advised all guests that if they want their room cleaned each day they have to request it. Last, but not least, we never had enough towels and wash clothes in our room.
Overall, I think this should be considered when looking for a place to crash in Palm Beach. The employees are friendly, the rooms are cute. And the food at the rooftop bar is on point! Additionally, it's an ideal location in Downtown Palm beach.
I am giving the hotel a 4 star rating because I did enjoy my stay despite the above noted concerns. However, do note that my true rating is a 3.5. I bumped it up instead of down because it is better than average. If I should visit the city in the future I would book a...
