Nadine’s Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in West Plains

Hands down the best ice cream I have ever had. There's really no way of comparing their ice cream to anyone else's here in town simply because it is that much better. I suppose you could chalk all this up to preference but you would be wrong as it simply is objectively better. The two members of staff were extremely knowledgeable and answered enthusiastically all of my many many ice cream related questions. Along with my twin brother I brought three children who we're very unsure on what flavor they would get. Two staff never even blinked an eye and remained completely professional and friendly despite going through what must have been most of y'all's catalog and the various combinations exceeding far past even my own patients. So if it's handmade ice cream in almost unlimited flavors delivered and served up by living saints that you must have then this is exactly the place for you. Allow me to be completely unambiguous and say that this is not hyperbole and in no way should this be interpreted as satirical. My review may seem over the top but it's only because I wanted my review to match my experience. In my attempts to be fair balanced and without bias I must include all the data even if it is negative to which I do now solemnly swear the following: ever since my last pull of perfectly blended peanut butter, chocolate, locally produced and sourced ice cream along with what I can only assume is not only patented but a bit divine, all other "ice creams" have effectively been ruined. You know that wonderful feeling you get when enjoying your favorite foods and how with childlike fondness you remember certain times with family and friends? Go ahead and recklessly abandon with abandon (Yes it's grammatically correct and what I intended to say) every single one of these and I challenge you to find a single shred of guilt about this fact after your first interaction with what we mortals call "spring Dipper" . TLDR: spring Dipper serves up chilled quasi-religious experiences that obviously make other frozen dairy products so soul destroying mediocre that it loops back around to positive as it may be the only actual way of measuring it's nearly divine qualities. I am a regular at this location, and usually the staff are really awesome and friendly. Tonight, Friday, September 20th, I stopped in for some ice cream. It was really packed and chaotic so I could understand that it may have been stressful. There were 2 (I think) new girls that me and my fiancee have never seen before, but when I was ordering, the newer girl who was taking my order just seemed really disinterested and was giving me a look like "really? Can you finish already, I have better things to do." I dismissed it initially but I didn't even finish my order before she asked the person who I was there with what she wanted, totally interrupting me. When we got our food, I said, "thank you" and the girl who made it (also one of the newer girls) was super dismissive. And every time one of them looked at me or the person I was there with, they just looked really judgy and just mean in general. The only one of them who was friendly and polite was the girl who's been there for a while. Me and my fiancee both work customer service, so I give a lot of leeway to anyone else working around food or customers, so I have a lot of understanding. but the rudeness and dismissiveness just really rubbed me wrong. I'd usually never go out of my way to write a review like this... however with some observation on social media, I noticed the owner of this business acting horribly distasteful towards another small local business owner that I think very fondly of... I am all about supporting small local businesses and would hope that OTHER small local stores would support others.. however this was not the case at all.
