Been battling for days how to rank this place. I'm going to go on the harsher side. No issues with staff other than once she gave us our ticket she never came back so I didn't get my drink to go like I usually do when I have to pay $3 for a drink. Anyway, maybe if the prices were what are pictured I might up it to a 3. But as it stands I think the product they offer is very mediocre. Everything clearly came out of a can or was freezer food. My burger was clearly pre-formed freezer style, not what I'd expect from a diner. Green beans were from a can. My wife got the meat loaf, she swears it was more like she just ordered stuffing. She was thinking of the Club but they don't even do carved turkey, just deli. So the meal as a whole I guess was reasonably priced albeit could be a little cheaper for what it is. My bacon cheeseburger wasn't horrible but it didn't stand out either. My wife was completely disappointed with her food. And to top it off it we had to run to the bathroom almost instantly. Won't eat there ever again and I think that's why I'll leave it a 2. Was just another fun reminder why it's cheaper and better tasting to eat from home. Tired of being disappointed. I think what's most upsetting is that I decided to pick this place based off the huge and high reviews and I just don't think this place deserves more than a 3. Don't get tricked people. P.S. please don't offer margarine packs for the rolls, tastes like soap, ruined the roll for me. I think that alone sets the mood for the rest of what you're going to get, so cheap they don't even buy ACTUAL...
Read moreI like that you can order online, and that they have a pickup window. I did have to call the order in, anyway, as the sides were only showing potato options, but that was just a minor flub. I ordered a homestyle special that consisted of a gigantic stuffed pepper, my choice of sides which were beans, cottage cheese and a baked, sweet potato, and then two cheesesburgers for the kids.
The food was good. The stuffed pepper tasted like what I would make myself, but the beauty of it is I didn't have to make it! Same with the cheeseburgers. Everything tastes like home, but more importantly without the cooking and the cleanup if you were to do it yourself. The price was fair. We spent maybe $6 dollars more than if we had went to a fast food place, and, well, fast food just isn't as good or satisfying in my opinion. Ozark Cafe offers real food and decent portions at a reasonable price.
Also, the waitress was very patient and polite over the phone and...
Read moreMy wife and I were traveling and looking for a good breakfast spot on Sat morning. After looking at ratings online we chose Ozark Cafe!
When we arrived the parking lot was jammed full. It is a aeat yourself place and there were very few open tables but we found one. The wait staff was friendly enough but they were hustling and very very busy. My wife was not decided when the waitress came buy to take orders and then it took quite a while till she got back and it was a pretty long wait till our food came. Which is understandable as busy as they were.
I would say the food was good but not necessarily amazing. Obviously a place where the locals considered a go to place to get a good breakfast!!
There is nothing special in atmosphere either. Just hustling and bustling staff doing their best to aerve the crowd as quickly as possible!! Check them out. Prepare to not be in a rush at least on a...
