Del Taco — Restaurant in West Sacramento

This is for the Folsom, Ca. Del Taco restaurant. Not the West Sacramento Del Taco. I don't know why it noted the West Sacramento store. No problem in West Sacramento, just the Folsom store. I can't correct by edit. Usually I stay away from reviewing fast food restaurants everything being equal, but I thought I should review and evaluate the Del taco in Folsom, ca. I had stopped here for a quick bite to eat after my shift at work. Fast convenient, usually good food for the price. I had ordered my food and was finishing my last bite, when two "eco lab" employees walked into the restaurant carrying full equipment packs. For those of you who don't know what "eco labs" do they are a pest abatement company, that specializes in infestations rodents or bugs. I was watching them and they asked for the manager/supervisor and walked into the kitchen area. They disappeared for over a half hour. I walked outside and was about to enter my work car, when I saw one of the eco lab employees walking around the perimeter of the restaurant. I made contact with the eco lab employee and asked what the problem was and whether I should be concerned. He noticed my government I.D. and provided an honest assessment of the problem. Bugs, he stated specifically a roach, ant and other vermin not noted. I asked, is it safe to eat here. It looks like you just sprayed and you have a two truck and two employee response. He stated, personally I wouldn't eat here for awhile. Hummmm. I just ate, the food was tasty, but that experience did not create the greatest confidence in the cleanliness of the Folsom store. This del taco and well as most of the del tacos I have been to are very nice helpful staff and good prepared food, awesome prices, the staff makes the place, you can tell that the company on a whole is a good standing and training there staff to be excellent in customer service and the way they cook there food..thank you Del Taco, as always standing up to excelance we have come to expect from you. Added sometime later still than first review...most of it still stands , we buy food there all the time every other day at least, this morning we were in that area and I needed to use the restroom I went in and asked a young lady at the counter if I may use there restroom, she looks at like I was dirt, and said the rest room is only for customers...I'm adding to this review to let people know that most of the staff is great like I wrote above, there always has to be one or two bad apples, oh and the morning shift can't even get the cheese and chicken sliders right newsflash morning shift!!! ITS SUPOSE TO BE MELTED CHEESE, AND CRISPY on the outside the morning shift is just to lazy to make them right or let (customers) use their bathroom so they don't have to clean it or walk to the bathroom to unlock it for you!!! Del Taco in West Sac has become my go-to spot when I'm craving a fresh, crispy taco on a budget. For years, I was never really a fan of Del Taco, but I have to say - this location has completely changed my opinion. I’m not sure if Del Taco has stepped up their game across the board, or if this location just does it right, but either way, I’m hooked!

I usually go for the classic Crunchy Del Tacos, and they never disappoint. The tacos are loaded with toppings - not just the meat, but also a generous amount of cheese and lettuce. It's the kind of taco that actually feels like it’s worth every penny. I also appreciate the variety of sauces they offer. I typically stick with the medium or hot spice-level, and they’re always generous with the sauce, which I love. It's nice to not have to ask for extra sauces like at other places.

Ever since I heard of the Epic Fresh Guacamole Burrito, when I'm in a "burrito mood," this has become my new favorite. The chicken, guac, and all the other ingredients are so fresh and flavorful - it really lives up to the "fresh" part in its name.
