This was my first time going to this local cafe. I had not been able to go there before because they are only open until 2:00 p.m. on most days and closed on Sundays. I decided to give them a try and to support our local businesses. I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich. It was tasty and fresh, but on the smaller side. However when I finished it I was no longer hungry. You get a side of chips of your choice with any sandwich that you order. The sandwich itself was $9 which I think is very reasonable. I also noticed that they had some large cookies. I bought some chocolate chip cookies but they also had oatmeal raisin and sugar. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very happily surprised at how soft, fresh, and delicious they were. And they are only $2.50 each! Definitely support this local business. They also serve salads, you can build your own sandwiches, and...
Read moreFirst time customer. Tried the hot pastrami and it was delicious. The pastrami was super tender and had just the right saltiness. The stone ground brown mustard used in the sandwich is fantastic. The slaw tempers the strong flavors and the ciabatta bread was fresh and soft, a perfect holder for the sandwich ingredients. Five stars for the sandwich. My very minor gripe was that the chips and drinks were rather small - true, no one really needs more than the small, kid-sized bag of chips and 16oz drink cup, but it's become such a norm for sandwich shops to have larger bags and drink sizes that I was a bit surprised. It's a really minor gripe. I will be back, however, to try every other sandwich they have, and then dive into creating my own. The ingredients used are top notch and worth coming back...
Read moreI came to support small business but honestly, I won’t be going out of my way to come back. The breakfast sandwich I had was made with microwaved bacon, a microwaved egg, there was barley any cream cheese on the bread & there was no seasoning at all. The overwhelming flavor of egg sulfur is what took over my sandwich.
I would have returned it for a refund if I could have. I saved it by adding a ton of salt and pepper and hot sauce.
I also found it chaotic to order- my sandwich came out wrong (but they were great with re making it), and my Iced water didn’t come with my meal at all.
The lavender latte was overly sweet but was fine enough.
Overall, I just was disappointed in my visit. I won’t write them off but can’t rave about this...
