East Side Chef Restaurant — Restaurant in West Sacramento

Tonight was the 1st time my buddy and I tried this place.My buddy and I try to hit new restaurants each weekend when possible. We have probably tried 25 Chinese restaurants and my finding have been only 1 is consistently good that is Shanghai Garden Downtown. There are several that are good 3 out of 5 times and a few. are just nasty. This place is super Clean, staff are on the job food came reasonably quick, hot and fresh. We ordered the House Chow Mein - Very flavorful with large shrimp Garlic Chicken- sauce was silky with flawless flavor General Tso Chicken- Again a silky spicy sauce that leaves your tongue urning for more Pork Fried Rice- Clean and flavorful with perfect balance, texture Not greasy and a twist I've never seen in Fried rice ( bean sprouts ) excellent touch. Hot & Sour soup my buddy described as the best Hot & Sour he has ever had Won Ton Soup full of flavor Egg Roll - excellent flavor all by itself but dipped in Chineae Mustard a must try Yes we ourself have cooked professionally for over 30 years ourselves so giving a 5 star rating does not come easy. YOU MUST TRY THIs PLACE My buddy wanted to find fault in this restaurant but had to say it was one of the best we have tried hands down...

Decided to go eat some Chinese food this morning at east side chef the food was okay the service one waitress was very nice then you have the other one who had an attitude and also whoever thought they would charge $2.75 for a tiny cup of tea things change with time will I go back No I decided to go back again because the food was okay the first time when I went back I got a male server he was much nicer than the lady with the glasses and short hair she was in the kitchen the rice was hard luncheon specials had no shrimp in it I will not return for sure when you order their shrimp fried luncheon specials make sure you get some shrimp will be praying for them in Jesus Name 🙏 I went back to this restaurant since the last time that I was there the food is always good The service change everyone was very nice I just don't like eating out of their dinner plates I don't like the symbols on the plates so I won't eat out of the plate anymore but the food in the atmosphere was good I enjoyed my dinner there this time and the waitress...

My family and I have been going here for years. We made our 1st visit during their grand opening several years ago. Susan was our 1st waitress and has our kids 16, 13, & 11 names and she reminds us that she can't believe how big they are and how she remembers them through the years.

The food here is really good. We have our favorites. Our youngest loves the soup. Everyone loves the Salt and Pepper Chicken. All the rice dishes are perfectly prepared. We all love the combo meals that come with individual grilling Sichuan Beef on sticks.

We have brought family and friends here over the years. It's one place that many want to revisit again and again when they come to town. I highly recommend East Side Chef...
