IHOP — Restaurant in West Springfield

This place is like an icebox! NO HEAT! Our entire party was cold and everyone's food got cold very quickly.

Wait staff was friendly and food was ok.

Please turn on some heat, It was 14° outside!

Went on Wednesday evening (2/23) Food was ok, but our waiter was NOT in the mood for people.

Tried to make him smile with a couple small jokes, got nothing but snippy words back.

Dude, if you're not a people person, don't wait tables. If someone put you in a bad mood, don't take it out on people that are trying to cheer you up. 😠 11/10/20

I was talked in going, hadn't been there since my last bad experience.

Tuesday evening, the place wasn't too busy. That was cool.

I ordered a burger (yeah, at IHOP🤣)

1. As I sat waiting for my food, I commented on how the pictures in the menu, never look anything like the way you get it. I swear to you, this burger was PICTURE perfect!!!

2. The fries were PERFECT!!! (I rarely order fries because establishments don't usually care if you get them cold) I don't eat cold fries.

3. I ordered a half lemonade half iced tea drink. PERFECT!!!👌 I'm not even kidding, and it was beautiful to look at too.

As simple as this menu selection was, everything was absolutely perfect, right down to "no water spots on my silverware or on my glass".

It was all of the little things that impressed me today. Total CARE went into everything, including how we were treated by management and staff.

I wasn't very impressed with the food.

I had pancakes. They were ok, but not nearly as tasty as Denny's. I had coffee as well and it was aweful.

I found out Mr Evans is no longer there, I guess he's not top of things, those little things made a big difference.

He was always right there with a big smile asking how things were....

They forgot food in our order. Order was wrong. We asked to mark each meal and separate bag for my family's brunch. However we only got one big that was over stuffed and plastic broke.

The Orange Juice tasted like orange colored water as well.

We bought 3 Orange juices and ALL of them were like drinking water. That's how watery and diluted the Orange juice sadly truly tasted like..

I had to stop and buy the kids more Orange juice at the nearest grocery store.

Thank you IHOP...

I could have Donated the Money rather than paying for items NEVER RECIVED, INCORRECT AND POOR QUALITY STANDARDS.

UNFORTUNATELY, I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE AND COULD NOT RETURN TBE FOOD OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE CANCELED THE ENTIRE ORDER HAD I KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO HAVE FOOD MISSING AND TBE FOOD THAT WAS THERE WAS INCOMOLETE AND INCORRECT.

NOT GOOD. MY FAMILY AND I WERE NOT HAPPY WITH ANY OF IT STARTING AFTER WAITING FOR SUCH A LONG TIME WITHOUT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT STARTED OFF HORRIBLE. WHICH THAT SET THE TONE FOR REST OF THE VISIT WHILE WE WAITED SO LONG FOR...

We had to wait for a long time without even being greeted nor acknowledged by any staff personal.

A worker entering her shift noticed us. Then server arrived.

The wait for the food was EVEN LONGER. The Entire experience was sub par and could use RETRAINING STAFF geared towards customer service with a smile.

They seemed over worked and too busy too attend us properly.

We were traveling and stopped at the nearest IHOP because my previous experiences with IHOP in CT have been pleasant and inviting.

I guess it depends which IHOP you visit what experience you leave with. Especially after a nearly $200.00 Order. They would pay attention and go above and beyond to give you an Amazing Experience to revisit again.

Sadly NOT the case at ALL...

Absolutely Awful – Save Your Time and Money!!

The fact that Google still forcing people to rate things with at least 1 star is mind boggling to me. This place deserves 0 starts at best.

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the service was a disaster. Our waitress had a major attitude, got our order completely wrong, and when we pointed it out, she snatched the plate back and said, “whatever, it’s not that deep.” After that, she completely avoided us for the rest of the 20-something minutes we were there – and not because she was busy. The place was nearly empty.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere was just as bad. You could clearly hear the staff loudly gossiping and talking badly about customers. The same employee who was mopping the floor while we were eating was also having a loud phone conversation the entire time, walking around the dining area like it was his living room. Totally unprofessional and unsanitary.

The place looked dirty, the vibe was sad , and it only got worse. Two other tables had their orders messed up as well, and again, the staff responded with nothing but attitude and bickering. One party walked out, and another group left their plates untouched, telling us on the way out that they’d be contacting the manager because of how disgusting everything was their staff's behavior included as they too head how they were talking loudly in the back about customers.

And don’t even get me started on the food – it was bland, poorly prepared.

Bottom line: this place is a mess. Between the awful service, unprofessional staff, and gross environment, I wouldn’t recommend...
