YOU MUST EAT HERE!
Don't even get me started on my love of Bueno Y Sano. I started eating their burittos when I was an undergraduate student at Umass Amherst in 1997. Of course, part of what I love so much about the restaurant is the memories and nostalgia of the wonderful times spent at the Amherst location. However, the food is absolutely phenomenal. The burittos are big (they roll fatties), flavorful and delicious. The tortillas are perfection. The ingredients are top-notch. The salsa at the salsa bar has been the same delicious, homemade flavor since the day I first tasted it. Truth be told...I've stopped in the restaurant a time or two just to fill a little salsa container so I could get my fix. I'm not sorry about it.
While the menu has expanded, the classics have not changed. Chicken, steak, shrimp, or veggie only burittos are perfect and delicious. I have been to the locations in Northampton, Springfield, West Springfield, and Amherst. The food is perfect 👌 at all of them. Folks, my wife (also Umass alum) and I have flown back from cities all over the world (literally) to find our way back to "Bueno" because we love it so much!! That's how delicious and perfect it is.
If anyone ever tells you, "I don't get why you love Bueno Y Sano so much." Or "It's just ok. " Those are NOT your people. They are the same people who probably say they don't like dogs. Don't trust them.
Mr. Bob Lowry. I don't know you, but damn it man...I LOVE YOU! You did it, my friend. Thanks to you and the family of employees who make this restaurant chain...

Further, the previous response I received was supposed to be the owner to address the issue and never heard back, so that's a falsehood. I don't think they know what's going on at all or actually address any issues. There's plenty of options in the area, Bueno Y Sano has gone very far down hill. Offered money back or a gift card to use in house but seemed as they could've cared less and very unsympathetic, extremely monotone.
Pickup from this location very regularly and as of late, have been having issues. For instance, order 2 burritos at once of the same and they are both 2 different sizes, quality is inconsistent, temperate is inconsistent, the individual that wears her mask on her chin is lacking customer service skills and is constantly off with her friends when trying to pickup my food (or witnessing others trying to get service). Brought this up to management and never heard back so I guess it goes up on deaf ears. Their solution is to give you 100 points and asks for your information (when I provided it upon leaving the customer review). I get one off situations but their quality and service inconsistent. If the management dealt with the problem then that's one thing but I never heard back. Very...
Read moreI've been coming here because it's convenient and not horrible. But come on people! An all rice burrito for $12.00 dollars, really? So by saying," make it grande for free on, Tuesdays" really means throw a pound of rice in it! This place sucks! If I want Mediocre over priced fake Mexican food I'll go to Chipotle or Frontera grill next time. Chipotle actually tastes a little better and doesn't fill your burrito up with only rice. This photograph says it all. I'll make sure to tell all my friends and coworkers across the street that, I'll be more than happy to grab them chipotle next time we want burritos. Bueno y sano? More like mediocre with a ton of Rice in your meal y sano. I seriously recommend going elsewhere for better flavors for over priced fake Mexican food. Go To Mi Tierra or El Comalito in Hadley, MA. It's...
