Fajita Pete's - The Original in West University — Restaurant in West University Place

You know it's good when you're full, take another bite because it's so good.... and it's still good!!! As a connoisseur of Mexican food, I can, without a doubt state that you can not find better than Fajita Pete's, from the top notch QUALITY, to the exceptional GREAT value!!! Locations all over Houston, and opening soon in Chicago and Pittsburgh (y'all are in for such a wonderful experience!!!)... while 80% of their business is catering to the Med center and Greenway Plaza area, plus weddings and etc.... AND THEY DELIVER to your house (within vicinity)... I was fortunate enough to actually meet Pete (couldn't have met a nicer person - he has a great heart combined with a business savvy mind - while keeping the best prices I've seen in years)... I even spoke with Pete about increasing his prices, but he explained that he wants everyone to be able to enjoy a great meal at a wonderful price (daily full meal offerings for $9.99). Not only is it full of quality and low on price, the extras they bring is over the top - we ordered mixed fajitas for 2 (choices of beef, chicken, carnitas, veggie, shrimp - we chose beef and carnitas), the extras for this was... cheese, Pico, jalapeño toreado, lettuce and guacamole), plus the rice and beans and sour cream if you like. Wait, wait, wait... it started with warmed salsa and chips (YAAASSSSS)..... So, then we tasted their Tres leches (tres excellent!!!) and got their churros to go (SOOOOO YUMMY)... oh yea, we also had their Pete's Rita's (yup, can't go wrong here, 10.2%!!!)..... to sum it up, he's been in business for 16 years, and he's crushing it..... THIS RESTAURANT...

I placed an order for my family’s 2023 Christmas dinner at this place having never even eaten here before, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I ordered mixed fajitas (beef/chicken), and it came with rice, beans, guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce, tortillas, chips, salsa… basically everything needed. The meat was so flavorful and the beef fajitas were so tender, my family raves about the food. If you’ve never eaten here before (which I hadn’t) you’re missing out! I will definitely be returning several times in the future, as a matter of fact I was thinking of ordering from them today and that’s when I remembered that I hadn’t written a review. The food is amazing, don’t miss out...

The food was high quality, fresh, and delicious. Would give 5 stars if they used resuseable dishes or eco-friendly disposables. We ate at their location and everything was served on styrofoam with plastic utensils. It would be nice if they had real plates and silverware for dine-in guests.

Really liked their complimentary chips and warm salsa and ordered the tacos al carbon. The meat is tender and well seasoned. Anytime you can find house made tortillas it's a win. They have really good corn tortillas.

The staff goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need.

Seating is limited since it's meant for carry-out. Restaurant has a casual atmosphere and...
