HERE'S THE STORY: We had a [horrible customer service] at CasaPeru in WVC on Saturday evening. So, we placed our order over the phone. We ordered "pollo a la brasa." It was 6:50pm. The person who took my order, ("Sandra" is what the receipt showed) said they closed at 9pm. I said that was okay, we'd be there by 8pm. She asked that we pay in advance over the phone (she never asked if the order was to go or to dine- in). I realize some businesses ask for advance payment. I asked her to make two seperate checks. She acknowledged. I paid. Our two parties arrived at the restuarant 10 mins apart. We took our masks off after being seated, were hungry, and ready to dine. This is where our [horrible customer service] experience starts: The waitress told us that our order will be a "to go" order and not a dine-in service. We declined that it would be "to go" but the waitress insisted it would not be dine-in, that all the orders taken on the phone are "to go" (we weren't told that). We sat at our tables for some 20 mins insisting that we dine-in and she continued to not oblige our request. I told her that we didn't want the order "to go" that we were only able to dine-in. But this waitress was insistant that our order was "to go" only. We asked her to bring the "to go" order to our table and we'd eat it there and she insisted "no, the order is to go only" and she was not going to change her position. I demanded several times for her boss to our table and she replied, "he is busy." (I've never been to a restaurant where the manager did not come to the customer per request) At this point she began to talk over me and eventually ignored me altogether. [Horrible customer service]. We never saw our food (that she claimed was for to go only). While still at our table, hungry and frustrated, I decided to cancel the order and demanded our money back. We waited for awhile and nothing happened. Eventually I got up and went to the counter and demanded my money back. The waitress took her time only aggravating the situation. I told her to "hurry up," and "where are we going to find food at this hour?" I told her they would "hear from us" and that's what I am doing, writing my negative review as a customer. Imagine your party of twelve being hungry, having traveled from far away, and then running into a resturant who can't accomodate their customers (since one of the customers had actually dined there together).
And now the "owner" responds to our reviews that he(she) has videos of us and will take legal action against us. EXACTLY MY POINT EVERYONE: [HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE]. Even the "owner" won't accept responsibility, lays the blame entirely on the customer, and then threatens legal action. Bad attitudes in workplaces often come from top...
Read moreWe had some takeout from Casa Peru recently and I was not very impressed. I ordered Pescado a lo Macho, which I actually enjoyed. Portion size was somewhat small, more of a lunch-sized meal in my opinion, but the flavor was good. Very little seafood on top of the fish filet. My girlfriend got the Lomo Saltado and it was mediocre. The meat wasn't very tender (probably not real beef tenderloin), portion size was small, and flavor was just okay. We also got the ceviche mixto to share and it was not good. Luckily the dog liked it. Overall I think this place probably has some good dishes and a few that are substandard. I've eaten at Don Pedrito Gourmet many times and the food there is better in every way. Bigger portions, more flavor, higher quality. Their staff was stuck in Peru because of the virus so we decided to try Casa Peru instead, but ended up being disappointed. Now that Don Pedrito is back open I won't be going...
Read moreHorrible experience! If you ever leave your credit card accidentally in this place. Make sure you have the update phone number of this place. I left my card few weeks ago in this place. I searched the number in Google to get a hold of them but sadly number wasn't update so it was a wrong number. It took me about 5 hours to finally found out the real number, unfortunately it was too late because i had to cancel my credit card and as everyone probably know when that happen we have to call every single company that we gave our credit card to let them know and give them the new card, i was lucky that i didn't get any late fee at least. It was a nightmare considering that loosing a credit card this days it's not a game. Not coming back...
