We visited the home of the Utah Grizzlies professional ice hockey games at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, a few times but mostly for live concerts.
The Doobie Brothers played at Maverik Center in the past. A rock band known for versatility, rock, pop, and R&B.
Earth, Wind & Fire's concert was a one day event held at Maverik Center, Monday 6/16/2025. Their music style is pop, soul, disco, Afro pop, and jazz fushion band.
It attracted a good-sized crowd of all ages from teenagers ages 15-20, the 30s, 40s through 80+s.
The doors were to open at 6:30pm and experienced a half an hour delay. It opened at 7:00 pm. Followed by yet another:30 minutes delay, the audio team was still testing the audio systems and pushed the concert from the starting time at 7:30pm to open at 8:00 pm.
Once the band went underway, the fans got louder, clapped in unity, and showed support to welcoming the band when they came on stage. It was crystal clear how they felt about Earth, Wind & Fire in Utah.
The bands music hit all the right notes from the get-go. They know what to bring to the table. Familiar music of the 70s brought teens ages 15 through 20 to stand up on their seat rows and danced.
The band had raised their bars and played their most famous hits; Fantasy, September, After the Love Has Gone, Sing A Song. Their music is a crystal revolution.
Earth, Wind & Fire is considered one of the greatest bands for their innovative sound, musical excellence, chart success, cultural impact, and influential legacy/rewards recognition.

Read moreGrizzlies games are great. We had great seats, food was mediocre but the customer service at the vendor was good. The reason for the negative review is because upon entering the stadium and walking past the team store, there was a booth, take a card and put the number from your card into a display for your chance to win a signed jersey. Cool opportunity, right? Great way to keep fans engaged and feel appreciated. Except this isn't a promotion ran by the team, it isn't run by Maverik or the venue. My wife and I entered our info, some which felt a little too personal, and...we were instant winners. Please stand in line. While we were standing in line we realized pretty quickly that the loser talking to people as it was their turn to get their "prize" that it was a vacation scheme, hotels, airfare, the whole deal. We didn't win anything. But since then I have received an unbelievable amount of phone calls and emails from "Scam Likely" some with Utah area codes, some from other states. This is insane. There is absolutely zero reason for that "salesman" to be there with the incentive of an autographed jersey. It's a scam. I'm now being harassed by the scammers and ultimately whoever the hell they sold my personal information to. I don't feel respected as a fan, I don't feel appreciated for spending my money to show up and support my team. If you want engagement and people to continue to come and fill the seats then you need to treat them better. Not take advantage of them. What do I get for this? Likely nothing. No one will reach out. No one will apologize. No one will take accountability and try to make it right. But ill surely be sitting here until I change my number and make a new email account suffering the harassment of these idiots that they allowed to be there. This is a warning, if you read this, there is no jersey. Just scam calls and a lame vacation...
Read moreGot caught committing a policy violation in which I was given a warning. That is fine and complied when I was told to. The second time I was accused of wrong doing (which nothing happened) I was threatened to get kicked out and was straight up lied to about me getting caught on security cameras (to which I don't believe the venue has besides cameras broadcasting hockey games) and was only let back in the venue when I proved the security guards they were wrong and that they were lying. Besides security this is a great venue and quite possibly my favorite in Utah more than the Delta center which is much bigger. I love the Utah grizzlies but deeply disappointed I was lied to even when I admitted to wrong-doing and being overtly honest. I am always a respectful person and will always admit when I'm in the wrong but tonight was an absolute joke. Security didn't even apologize for lying, they told me I was yapping and that I was lucky to go back in EVEN THOUGH I WAS JUST DEFENDING MYSELF. Don't let my review convince outsiders from deciding to come or not, this is overall 90% a great venue and I am very grateful and happy about this Gem for hockey games and concerts. Very cheap tickets and friendly staff. I'm not mad about violating venue policy, I am mad I was lied to when I know damn well I didn't do anything wrong a second time. An apology would be appreciated, but I know this isn't going to happen.
Hopefully next time I come I won't be snitched on for something I didn't even do. Would give 5 stars if it wasn't for security lying or just automatically believing patrons lying. I genuinely love the maverick center and I'll definitely come back when I have the time travelling...
