First of all, the miso was the best I've ever had. The chef was telling me about some of the special additions he puts in it. Totally hits the mark! I tried one of their special sauces, the pickled Wasabi. WOW! Not only potent, but very flavorful as well. I'll be ordering that again for sure. I was really impressed with both the guys working here. I ate at the bar, and both guys were really down to earth, kind, and informative. Easy to talk with. Totally laid back and relaxing vibe. For the hand rolls i ordered the 3 piece. The salmon lacked a little flavor - pretty plain, but nothing that a little of their superb sauces couldn't fix. The blue crab had the distinct and wonderful flavor that I grew up loving from fresh blue claw. I was happy that it wasn't drowned out by the rice or nori. A definite do over. The last roll was the spicy tuna. I've never had spicy tuna like this before. It was very spicy, clearly from the large pieces of what I think were dried red pepper. This was not your usual smooth spicy tuna. It was textured with a bit of a crunch. I really liked it. In the end this was a very unique sushi experience. I am definitely recommending this place for any sushi lover. I will be back for sure, and the next time I'm bring friends to introduce to this little gem of a restaurant.

I stumbled into this place after turning down Fat Fish. A hand roll bar? What's that like? I wondered. It wad AMAZING! If you have a big appetite like me, go straight to the 6 piece. However, it lacks the Blue Crab and Scallops, which you also must try. And the Unagi! It is divine! So rich and tender, with no tough connective tissue. I loved it all! Favorites are probably the last ones I mentioned. The Blue Crab...oh! I want that as part of my last meal! Great for people who prefer cooked to raw. The soy sauce is homemade, best I have ever had. And the wasabi is REAL WASABI! The ground stuff is incredible, but try the pickled wasabi: it'll knock your socks off! Kizami Wasabi. It's a specialty item of the chef. The miso soup was top notch, and the service was like talking to a friend. If you love sushi or just want to shake things up, check out Tonkotsu. One of the best sushi offerings in Utah!

Sooo good! This is not your typical Americanized sushi joint. These are simple hand rolls that allow the flavors of the fish to shine. From the first bite of the crunchy seaweed until the final bite of the roll, you can taste fish throughout and still finish with crunchy seaweed. Although all of the hand rolls are fresh and delicious, my favorite has to be the scallop, spicy tuna, and the Toro paired with the delicious kizami wasabi (real wasabi mixed with soy) is spectacular. I would highly recommend trying this place out ASAP. It just opened so it's nice with no wait, but once word gets out this place will get slammed and you'll wish you had came sooner
