The experience here was very disappointing! My wife and I have tried the burgers/sandwiches back when the owner had his place in a storage garage, and it was amazing! However, this time the food was not great at all. I came to this location with my family hoping to get the same food, but they didn't serve it until 4 PM. So, since we were there around 2 PM, and were hungry, we decided to try the food they had available. Both my wife and I had their Lomo Saltado to start with and shared with our son. Mine was fine with the exception of the beef being too chewy, and my wife's had an odd taste to it. It was almost like her beef was old or cooked differently. I tasted it as well and agreed on her discovery. My son even thought it tasted bad. It was so bad that she couldn't even finish the dish and we decided to try another dish before complaining. We ordered the Chaufa de Mariscos, and it was even more disgusting! The seafood was raw and the rice didn't have the usual color that you would get with Chaufa. On top of that, the dish itself was disgusting to even look at. We love seafood and haven't had any issues with other restaurants so far throughout both Salt Lake and Utah County. At this point, my wife went to complain. She was very polite to what seemed to be the owner's mother, who was in the kitchen, to let her know the situation. The lady was very unprofessional and prideful saying things like "the food is always great. Everyone likes it. We are the only ones that have ever complained, etc." She just did not want to hear any kind of criticism towards the food. That's not how businesses should be run. If you can't accept the fact that some people don't like your product or have a bad experience and not want to make it right, then you shouldn't be running a business. In the end, we didn't even want to bother getting our money back since it would have been a hassle and a waste of time arguing with the lady. Since my wife was still hungry and barely touched both her Lomo Saltado and Chaufa, she asked the lady if she could at least make some Salchipapa to go. Before getting the Salchipapa, the lady asked, "What sauces do you want on it." My wife asked her which sauces they have, and the lady rudely responded that they just have all of the sauces. How does one know what that even means? How are we supposed to know what all of the sauces are? Every restaurant does their Salchipapa differently. Just to avoid more contention with the lady, my wife just told her to put on the usual Ketchup, Mayo, and some green sauce. After getting the dish to go, we left the restaurant very dissatisfied and most likely won't come back again. Overall, the restaurant is inconsistent with their dishes, prices are a bit too high, they need to work on their customer service (the girl at the front who took our order as well wasn't very happy to help and didn't even smile when we first entered the building), and have their "best dishes" available earlier in the day. If we have a mediocre experience at a restaurant, I usually will just shrug it off, but if I have a bad experience then I'll take the time to write a review. Everyone will of course have a different experience here. The Picarones (my inlaws bought this and shared with us later in the day) are good and the Emoliente was great! My wife is Peruvian and I love Peruvian food, which makes me love trying out new places. However, this place just didn't hit...
Read moreIf you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out on the best cuisine in the world, which is authentic Peruvian. This restaurant is located in the heart of West Valley, just a few minutes away from downtown Salt Lake. The music, the decorations, the venue in general brings you to the deepest corners of the Peruvian Andes. The chefs and the staff are very well trained; from the get-go, you know you’re up for a great and memorable experience. We had an amazing dining experience at this authentic Peruvian restaurant! The flavors in every dish were incredible, and the attention was impressive. The Ceviche was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the Trio Marino platter a true highlight of the meal. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, complementing the seafood beautifully. The service was warm and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout the meal. I highly recommend trying their traditional dishes, like the Lomo Saltado, Anticuchos or the Picarones platter, which were outstanding. This is definitely a place to visit when you’re in Salt Lake City. I can't wait to come back and savor more of this delicious...

I order a chicken torta and I got my wife a fried chicken, the torta bread was great, but dry and it had no taste, only got 6 slices of fries, wife was very disappointed with her plate and said a pizza from 7/11 would have being better and tastier. The sauses where blend as a person with salt and condimentum prohibition would he allowed to eat. Hope it was because it was late and we were starving. But we gave it a 2 out of 10...
